Sai Ngam District
Sai Ngam ( th, ไทรงาม, ) is a district ('' amphoe'') in the eastern part of Kamphaeng Phet province, central Thailand. Geography Neighboring districts are (from the south clockwise) Sai Thong Watthana, Mueang Kamphaeng Phet, Phran Kratai, Lan Krabue of Kamphaeng Phet Province, Wachirabarami and Sam Ngam of Phichit province. History The minor district (''king amphoe'') Sai Ngam was created on 15 May 1975, when the two ''tambons'' Sai Ngam and Nong Khla were split off from Mueang Kamphaeng Phet district. It was upgraded to a full district on 25 March 1979. Administration The district is divided into seven sub-districts (''tambons''), which are further subdivided into 72 villages ('' mubans''). Mueang Kamphaeng Phet (, ) is the capital district ('' amphoe mueang'') of Kamphaeng Phet province, central Thailand. Thesaban Tambon
Thesaban ( th, เทศบาล, , ) are the municipalities of Thailand. There are three levels of municipalities: city, town, and sub-district. Bangkok and Pattaya are special municipal entities not included in the ''thesaban'' system. Muban
Muban ( th, หมู่บ้าน; , ) is the lowest administrative sub-division of Thailand. Usually translated as 'village' and sometimes as 'hamlet', they are a subdivision of a tambon (subdistrict). , there were 74,944 administrative mubans in Thailand. As of the 1990 census, the average village consisted of 144 households or 746 persons. Nomenclature ''Muban'' may function as one word, in the sense of a hamlet or village, and as such may be shortened to ''ban''. ''Tambon'' ( th, ตำบล, ) is a local governmental unit in Thailand. King Amphoe
An amphoe (sometimes also ''amphur'', th, อำเภอ, )—usually translated as "district"—is the second level administrative subdivision of Thailand. Groups of ''amphoe'' or districts make up the provinces, and are analogous to counties. The chief district officer is ''Nai Amphoe'' (). ''Amphoe'' are divided into ''tambons'', ( th, ตำบล), or sub-districts. Altogether Thailand has 928 districts, including the 50 districts of Bangkok, which are called '' khet'' (เขต) since the Bangkok administrative reform of 1972. Phichit Province
Phichit ( th, พิจิตร, , ) is one of Thailand's seventy-six provinces (''changwat'') lies in lower northern Thailand and 330 km due north of Bangkok. Neighbouring provinces are (from north clockwise) Phitsanulok, Phetchabun, Nakhon Sawan, and Kamphaeng Phet. Vajirabarami ( th, วชิรบารมี, ) is an amphoe in the northwestern part of Phichit province, central Thailand. Lan Krabue District
Lan Krabue ( th, ลานกระบือ, ) is the northeasternmost district (''amphoe'') of Kamphaeng Phet province, central Thailand. History In the past the district area was covered by dense forests. Many wild animals visited salt lick areas inside, especially water buffalo ('' Bubalus bubalis''). Thus the people called their village Ban Lan Khwai (''Kwai'' 'buffalo'). Later more people moved to establish their new estate in the area, then the government upgraded the village to be ''Tambon'' Lan Krabue of Phran Kratai district. It was made a minor district ('' king amphoe'') on 16 June 1977, when the two ''tambons'' Lan Krabue and Chong Lom were split off from Phran Kratai.
