Sahasa Veerudu Sagara Kanya
''Sahasa Veerudu Sagara Kanya'' () is a 1996 Indian Telugu language film directed by K. Raghavendra Rao. It stars Venkatesh, Shilpa Shetty and Malashree, with music composed by M. M. Keeravani. The film was produced by Burugapalli Sivarama Krishna under the Sri Venkateswara Art Films banner. The film was dubbed in Tamil as ''Kanavu Kanni''. Synopsis The film is about Ravi Chandra, the film's hero, and Sagara Kanya, a mermaid. Malashree plays Ganga, Ravi's cousin who loves him. They stay with some comedians in a house near the seashore. Kaikala Satyanarayana, the villain of the film, tries to acquire a ship that sank with much treasure on board. He associates himself with a witch who helps him in finding the treasure. Rallapalli Venkata Narasimha Rao (15 August 1945 – 17 May 2019), popularly known as Rallapalli, was an Indian actor known for his works primarily in Telugu films and television. He received two state Nandi Awards. Life and career Rallapalli Venkata Narasimha Rao was born in Anantapuramu, Andhra Pradesh in 1945. He started off his career in 1960 as a theatre artist before marking his movie debut in 1974 with ''Sthree''. He acted in about 850 films in a variety of roles, including that of a lead actor. He also worked as a staff artiste in Ministry of Information and Broadcasting. He played pivotal roles in films such as ''Bombay'' and ''Minsara Kanavu'' in Tamil. Vairamuthu Ramasamy (born 13 July 1953) is an Indian lyricist, poet, and novelist working in the Tamil film industry. He is a prominent figure in the Tamil literary world. A master's graduate from the Pachaiyappa's College in Chennai, he first worked as a translator, while also being a published poet. He entered the Tamil film industry in the year 1980, with the film ''Nizhalgal'', an Ilaiyaraaja musical, directed by Bharathiraja. Veturi Sundararama Murthy (29 January 1936 – 22 May 2010), known mononymously by his surname Veturi, was an Indian poet, lyricist and journalist who is popular for writing Telugu songs.
