Sahar Zakaria
Sahar Zakaria ( fa, سحر زکریا; born 19 December 1973) is an Iranian TV and film actress. Zakaria was born in Arak, Iran. She got her fame acting in Mehran Modiri's shows and soap operas such as ''Pavarchin'', '' Marde Dohezar Chehreh'', and ''Ghahve-ye Talkh''. Career Sahar Zakaria made her acting debut with the series 'Under Your Protection' (1995), before trying her hand at stage acting. She played in the movie 'A Man Made of Glass' (1998). Sahar has also appeared in movies including 'Boys of the Moonlight (An Army in the Dark)’ (2002), 'The Second Woman' (2007), 'Fatherly Secrets' (2009) and 'Men Are from Mars, Women Are from Venus' (2010). Arak, Iran
Arak ( fa, اراک, ''Arâk''; ) is the capital of Markazi Province, Iran. At the 2011 census, its population was 526,182, in 160,761 families. The city is nicknamed the "Industrial Capital of Iran". As a major industrial city, Arak hosts several industrial factories inside and within a few kilometers outside the city, including the factory of Machine Sazi Arak and the Iranian Aluminium Company. Mehran Modiri ( fa, مهران مدیری; born 7 April 1967) is an Iranian director, producer, actor, and singer. He is considered to be the leading artist in social satire in Iran. His various series, which have been broadcast through IRIB have set records in terms of viewership (an estimated 95% viewership when he is on-air), as well as make him a popular personality among the masses. His artistic career began in his teenage years acting in local plays. ''On Tiptoes'' ( fa, پاورچین) is an Iranian television comedy serial. It was broadcast for the first time by the IRIB on Thursday 10 September 2002 until Thursday 10 January 2003. It could usually be seen every night at 8:00 p.m. Tehran time on Tehran TV, also known as Channel 5 in Iran. Later due to the popularity of the show, episodes were shown in syndication on various Iranian provincial channels as well as IRIB 1 & IRIB 2 for those living out of the country. It was directed by Mehran Modiri. Shabhaye Barareh is the prequel to On Tiptoes. Shabhaye Barareh is set in Barareh and describes Farhad's family more than fifty years ago. ''Man of Many Many Faces'' or ''The Man with Two Thousand Faces'' ( fa, مرد دوهزارچهره) is the sequel of ''Man of Many Faces''. It is shown in Iran from March 21. Mehran Modiri is once again the director and main character for this TV show. It also stars Pejman Bazeghi, Reza Feiz NorooziJavad NazariSiamak Ansari and Borzoo Arjmand. Plot Man of Many Many Faces is about Masoud Shastchi (Mehran Modiri) once again finding himself in situations like in Man of Many Faces. The TV show starts off with Masoud sitting with the police officer Shahin Etemadi (Pejman Bazeghi) talking about what happened that he is back in court again. It then shows that Masoud goes back to Shiraz to his house to find that his parents have left and gone to a new place because they were embarrassed in front of the neighbours for their son's behaviour. ''Bitter Coffee'' ( fa, قهوه تلخ ''Ghahve-ye Talkh'') is a historical comedy series directed by Mehran Modiri and produced by the Aghagolian brothers. Three episodes are released at a time (roughly every week) on three VCD or one DVD, priced in Iran at 25000 rials (at that time approximately $2.50). The first set of episodes were released on 13 September 2010. Background and controversy Production of the series began in June 2009. ''Bitter Coffee'' was meant to be produced for television, to be broadcast by the IRIB, but due to various disagreements between IRIB and the series' producers, it didn't air. An alleged reason for disagreement between the producers and IRIB was that the producers required all of the advertisement for the series to be used as their payment, but IRIB refused to agree.
