Sagat Abikeyeva ( kk, Сағат Әбікеева (''Sağat Äbıkeeva''), russian: Сагат Абикеева; born May 14, 1981, in Karaganda Region) is a Kazakhstani judoka, who played for the half-heavyweight category. She is also a three-time medalist for her division at the Asian Judo Championships (2004 in Almaty, 2005 in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, and 2007 in Kuwait City, Kuwait). Abikeyeva represented Kazakhstan at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, where she competed for the women's half-heavyweight class (78 kg). She lost the first preliminary round match, with an ippon and a yoko shiho gatame (side four quarter hold), to Cuba's Yalennis Castillo. Because her opponent advanced further into the final, Abikeyeva offered another shot for the bronze medal by defeating India's Divya Tewar, with an ippon and an outside contest area technique (P16), in the first repechage bout. Lieutenant General Sagat Singh, PVSM (14 July 1919 – 26 September 2001) was a General Officer in the Indian Army notable for his participation in liberation of Goa and later in Bangladesh. He held many commands and staff appointments throughout his military career. Early life and education Singh was born in a Rajput family in the village of Kusumdesar in Churu region of Bikaner State on 14 July 1919 to Brijlal Singh Rathore of Kusumdesar and a Bhati lady, Jadao Kanwar of Hadla. Martin Šagát (born November 11, 1984) is a Slovak professional ice hockey player currently playing for Herning Blue Fox in the Danish Metal Ligaen. He was drafted 91st overall by the Toronto Maple Leafs in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft. Sagat played briefly with Dukla Trencin of the Slovak Extraliga, in 2002–03 before being drafted by the Toronto Maple Leafs in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft. To be closer to the Maple Leafs, Sagat joined the Kootenay Ice of the Western Hockey League for two years. Sagat then spent to years with Toronto's American Hockey League affiliate, the Toronto Marlies. After only 5 games in the ECHL with the Elmira Jackals in the 2007, Sagat left to continue his career in the Czech Republic, playing for various teams in the Czech Extraliga and the 1st Czech Republic Hockey League.
