Ramil Sahib oghlu Safarov ( az, Ramil Sahib oğlu Səfərov, , born August 25, 1977) is an officer of the Azerbaijani Army who was convicted of the 2004 murder of Armenian Army Lieutenant Gurgen Margaryan. During a NATO-sponsored training seminar in Budapest, Safarov broke into Margaryan's dormitory room at night and axed Margaryan to death while he was asleep. Saparbek Dibirovich Safarov (russian: Сапарбек Сафаров; born 14 October 1986) is a Russian mixed martial artist, who competes in the light heavyweight division. He competed for the Ultimate Fighting Championship. Mixed martial arts career Safarov started his career with 8 straight victories that included 6 knockouts and 2 submissions. He was then called in for a short replacement fight against Gian Villante. Gian's original opponent, Patrick Cummins, pulled out of the fight with a staph infection. Georgy Safarov
Georgy Ivanovich Safarov (russian: link=no, Георгий Иванович Сафаров) (1891 – 27 July 1942) was a Bolshevik revolutionary and politician who was a participant in the Russian Revolution, the Russian Civil War, and in the executions of the Romanovs in Yekaterinburg and Alapayevsk. Later he was arrested for his association with the left opposition, and served as an NKVD informant in prison, and gave fabricated evidence against over a hundred of his former comrades, in spite of which, he was executed on 27 July 1942. He is one of only a few victims of Joseph Stalin's purges not posthumously rehabilitated or reinstated to the party after his death when the history of the 1930s was re-examined in the 1980s. Orkhan Safarov (born 10 August 1991) is an Azerbaijanis, Azerbaijani judoka. He won the bronze at the 2013 World Judo Championships in the category 2013 World Judo Championships – Men's 60 kg, –60 kg. In 2021, he competed in the men's 66 kg event at the 2021 Judo World Masters held in Doha, Qatar. Fariz Safarov
Fariz Majid oghlu Safarov ( az, Fariz Məcid oğlu Səfərov; 20 June 1920 – 27 August 1964) was an Azerbaijanis, Azerbaijani Soviet Army Major (rank), Major and Hero of the Soviet Union. Drafted into the Red Army in 1939, Safarov fought in combat from 1942. He reached the rank of Senior sergeant, Senior Sergeant by September 1943 and led a machine gun crew in the Battle of the Dnieper. For his reported actions, including taking command of his company after the commander was wounded, Safarov received the title Hero of the Soviet Union. Sangak Safarov
Sangak Murodovich Safarov (; 1 January 1928 — 29 March 1993) was a Tajik paramilitary leader and warlord who was one of the leaders of the Popular Front of Tajikistan during the Tajikistani Civil War. Also known as Bobo Sangak, although he did not hold high positions in the government, for some time he was considered by many to be almost the ''de facto'' leader of Tajikistan because of his position in the Popular Front. Azad Safarov (born 1985/1986) is a Ukrainian journalist and filmmaker. He is a producer for Sky News and co-founder of charity organization Voices of Children. Early life and education Safarov was born in Baku, Azerbaijan, and, in 1994, moved to Donetsk, Ukraine with his mother at age 8. His father had moved to Donetsk before them, in order to set up a business. The family lived in Donetsk for the next 15 years, and Safarov learned both Ukrainian and Russian. Safarov was bullied by other children for being an immigrant and for his skin color, so he often spent time alone in public libraries or working with his father to sell products. Samir Eldar oglu Safarov (; 2 January 1979) is an Azerbaijani military officer, lieutenant colonel serving in the Azerbaijani Armed Forces. He fought in the 2016 Nagorno-Karabakh clashes and 2020 Nagorno-Karabakh war.
