Sadiq Kirmani
Sadiq Kirmani (born 21 May 1989) is an Indian cricketer who plays for Karnataka in domestic cricket. He is a right-handed batsman and wicket-keeper. He is the son of former India wicket-keeper Syed Kirmani. Kirmani played for Karnataka at various age-group levels such as Under-15, Under-19, Under-22 and Under-25, before making his List A debut in December 2015. Personal life Sadiq Kirmani was born on 21 May 1989 in Bangalore. His father is Syed Kirmani who played for Karnataka and India as a wicket-keeper. Sadiq has an elder sister Nishat Fatima who is married to the son of former India cricketer Syed Abid Ali Syed Abid Ali (born 9 September 1941) is a former all-rounder Indian cricketer. The wicket-keeper in the sport of cricket is the player on the fielding side who stands behind the wicket or stumps being watchful of the batsman and ready to take a catch, stump the batsman out and run out a batsman when occasion arises. Karnataka Cricket Team
Karnataka cricket team represents the Indian state of Karnataka in domestic cricket competitions. It has traditionally been one of the strongest teams in the domestic circuit and has produced many of Indian cricket team's iconic players. It was known as Mysore cricket team before the state of Mysore was officially renamed as Karnataka in 1973. It has won the Ranji Trophy eight times and has come second six times (including two runner-up positions for the earlier Mysore team). The team's home ground is the M. Syed Mujtaba Hussain Kirmani (; born 29 December 1949) is an Indian cricketer who played cricket for Indian cricket team, India and Karnataka as a wicket-keeper. In 2016, he was awarded the Col CK Nayudu Lifetime Achievement Award for Cricket in India. International career 1971–1982 He started off as an understudy to Farokh Engineer in the tours of England in 1971 and 1974 and to the 1975 Cricket World Cup, 1975 World Cup. Kirmani made his debut against New Zealand cricket team, New Zealand and in his second Test, equalled the world record of six victims in an innings. Cricket is a bat-and-ball game played between two teams of eleven players on a field at the centre of which is a pitch with a wicket at each end, each comprising two bails balanced on three stumps. List A cricket is a classification of the limited-overs (one-day) form of the sport of cricket, with games lasting up to eight hours. Syed Abid Ali (born 9 September 1941) is a former all-rounder Indian cricketer. He was a lower order batsman and a medium pace bowler. He played an important role in Indian cricket in the 1960s and 70s. Early life Abid Ali attended the St. George's Grammar School and All Saints High School in Hyderabad. In 1956, he was picked to play for Hyderabad Schools by the selectors, who were impressed by his fielding. He scored 82 against Kerala and won the best fielder's prize. A few years later when State Bank of Hyderabad formed a cricket team, he was given a job there. He started off as a wicket keeper before becoming a bowler.
