Sachin Gupta (executive)
Sachin Gupta (born March 17, 1982) is a former American professional basketball executive who is the executive vice president of basketball operations for the Minnesota Timberwolves. Early life Gupta earned an electrical engineering and computer science degree from MIT, and an MBA degree from the Stanford Graduate School of Business. While working for ESPN in 2006, Gupta created the 'NBA Trade Machine' on the network website to give users the opportunity to virtually play the role of general manager. The website aggregates current player contracts and integrates the rules of the NBA Collective Bargaining Agreement to correctly assess whether a trade is possible given the salary cap restrictions and the myriad other restrictions in the CBA. Jack Ramsey
John Travilla Ramsay (February 21, 1925 – April 28, 2014) was an American basketball coach, commonly known as "Dr. Jack" (as he held an earned doctorate). He was best known for leading the Portland Trail Blazers to the 1977 NBA championship, and for his broadcasting work with the Indiana Pacers, the Miami Heat, and for ESPN TV and ESPN Radio. Ramsay was among the most respected coaches in NBA history and a member of the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame. He was the winner of the Chuck Daly Lifetime Achievement Award for the 2009–10 NBA season. Scott Layden
Scott Layden (born 1959) is an American former general manager for the National Basketball Association (NBA). He is the son of former coach and general manager of the Jazz, Frank Layden, and a graduate of Saint Francis University in Loretto, Pennsylvania where he studied Business and Sports Management. Layden was the general manager for the Minnesota Timberwolves from 2016 to 2020. Gersson Rosas (born June 11, 1978) is a basketball executive who is a Senior Basketball Advisor of the New York Knicks. Rosas was also the president of basketball operations of the Minnesota Timberwolves of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Samuel William Wallace Hinkie (born December 1977) is an American businessman and former basketball executive who served as the general manager for the Philadelphia 76ers of the National Basketball Association (NBA) from 2013 to 2016.
