STUDIODADA
STUDIODADA was an Italian architectural and design office which started in 1977 during Italy's radical period. It completed interior design and architecture projects in Italy and abroad. It ceased to operate in 1988. History The firm was founded by six architects: Ada Alberti, Dario Ferrari, Patrizio Corno, Maurizio Maggi, Marco Piva, and Paolo Francesco Piva. In 1980 it took part in the competition held at the Triennale di Milano entitled " L’interno dopo la forma dell’utile" (Interior space after the form of usefulness). That was the beginning of its activicty in design field. In the field of product design, STUDIODADA members have designed for companies such a Luciano Marcato, Brunati, Interior ceramiche, Stilnovo, Tecnodada, Villeroy & Boch, Felice Rossi and Egoluce. STUDIODADA also promoted some exhibitions to explain its point of view on design such as "Architetture mobili" (movable architectures) (1982), "Design della notte" (design of the night), and others. ...

Radical Period (design)
In Italian design, the Radical period took place in the late 1960s, with a shift in style among the avant-garde. Probably the most notable result of this avant-garde period is the installation called " Superarchitettura", made in Pistoia in 1966. Another important exhibition dedicated to radical design in Italy was held at MoMA in 1972 ("Italy: The New Domestic Landscape"). Marco Piva
Marco Piva, Italian architect, interior designer and product designer, born on February 15, 1952, in Milan. Biography He graduated in architecture at Politecnico di Milano and founded STUDIODADA in 1977, that was one of the main design offices of the radical period. In 1990, he opens his own brand, Studio Marco Piva, with activities ranging from large architectural projects for tourist facilities, to interior design, masterplan, and finally industrial design. From 1987 to 1990, he was member of the Presidential Board of ''Associazione per il Disegno Industriale'' (''ADI''). In 1987, Marco Piva also founded IDA, International Design Agency, an Italian interface for a World Design Network system. Villeroy & Boch
Villeroy & Boch (, ) is a German manufacturer of ceramics, with the company headquarters located in Mettlach, Saarland. History The company began in the tiny Lorraine village of Audun le Tiche, where the iron master François Boch set up a pottery company with his three sons in 1748. In 1766 Boch was licensed to build a ceramics kilnworks nearby at Septfontaines, Luxembourg, where it operated a porcelain factory. In 1785 Nicolas Villeroy became sole owner of the faience manufactory at Wallerfangen. In 1812 Jean-François Boch began construction of kilns at the nearby town of Mettlach, Saarland. In 1824 Boch commenced transfer printing on porcelain from engraved copper plates.
