Ligue Nationale De Basketball
The Ligue nationale de basket (LNB; English: National Basketball League) is the governing body of men's professional club basketball in France. The LNB organises the first-tier Pro A and the second-tier Pro B. Additionally, the federation annually organises the Leaders Cup, Match des Champions and LNB All-Star Game. The LNB was established in 1987 by a committee consisting of high level professional clubs from France. In 1990, the LNB overtook the CCHN as the organizer of the top tier competition in France. French Basketball League System
The French basketball league system is a series of interconnected competitions for professional basketball clubs in France. The system has a hierarchical format with a promotion and relegation system between competitions at different levels. Some of the competitions are: the LNB Pro A, LNB Pro B, Nationale Masculine 1 (NM1), the Nationale Masculine 2 (NM2), the Nationale Masculine 3 (NM3), and the LNB Espoirs. Eric Hinrichsen
Eric Hinrichsen (born April 13, 1976) is a Canadian former basketball player. He played for the Canadian national team at the 2000 Summer Olympics. Standing at 2.03 m (6 ft 8 in), he played as a center. Hinrichsen played for Donar in 2003–04, helping the team win the Eredivisie championship. High school and college career Born in Campbell River, British Columbia, Hinrichsen graduated from Carihi Secondary School in 1994. He led his high school team, the Carihi Tyees, to an 'AA' Provincial Championship in 1993. In his senior year, he was named the Most Valuable Player at the 1994 'AAA' Provincial Championships, despite his team's fourth place finish at the tournament. Hinrichsen won numerous Canadian university accolades playing for the Victoria Vikes from 1995 to 1999. Shawn Ethelbert King (born June 6, 1982) is a Vincentian professional basketball player, who lastly played for Stal Ostrów Wielkopolski of the Polish Basketball League (PLK). King is one of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines' most prominent basketball figures. Professional career On May 9, 2016, King set the record for most rebounds in a game for the VTB United League, with 25 rebounds in an 81–73 win over Tsmoki-Minsk. On November 10, 2016, King signed with Stal Ostrów Wielkopolski of the Polish Basketball League. King was named the PLK Most Valuable Player of the 2016–17 season. On September 6, 2017, King signed with Slovenian club Sixt Primorska for the 2017–18 season. 2015–16 FIBA Europe Cup
The 2015–16 FIBA Europe Cup was the inaugural season of the newly formed basketball competition organised by FIBA. The season started on 21 October 2015 and ended on 1 May 2016. The competition replaced the EuroChallenge and had the aim to take the place of Eurocup (organised by Euroleague Basketball), as the second-tier competition in Europe. Format In the Regular season, 56 teams are divided into 14 groups of four teams. In the Round of 32, the first and second best teams from the Regular season play in groups of four. Starting from the Round of 16, quarter-finals will be played. The tournament will conclude with a Final Four. Teams The deadline to register in the competition was on July 30. The official list of teams was announced on August 3.
