SM Town (stylized as SMTOWN) is a musical collective for the recording artists under South Korean entertainment company SM Entertainment. SM Town artists have performed at the annual SM Town Live world tours since the SM Town Live '08 Asia tour in 2008. As of 2014, the SM Town Live concert series had cumulatively attracted over 1 million audience members. Kangta
Ahn Chil-hyun (born October 10, 1979), known professionally as Kangta (stylized sometimes in all caps and formerly as KangTa), is a South Korean singer, composer, songwriter, record producer, actor and radio personality. He is well known as a member of boy band H.O.T. Career 1996–2001: H.O.T. Kangta was discovered at Lotte World, a theme park, when he was only 13 years old. He made his debut on-screen appearance as a backup dancer together with future bandmate Moon Hee-joon for labelmate singer Yoo Young-jin. Kangta eventually decided to become a singer with Moon and three others, Jang Woo-hyuk, Tony An, and Lee Jae-won to form H.O.T. in 1996. M.I.L.K. (, acronym for ''Made In Lovely Kin'') was a South Korean girl group formed by SM Entertainment's sister label, BM Entertainment, in 2001. The group debuted on December 17, 2001 with the full album ''With Freshness''. In 2003, Bae Yu-mi departed from the group, which led to its disbandment. Black Beat (블랙 비트) was a South Korean boy band formed by SM Entertainment. The five-member group released an album ''Volume 1 - Black Beat #2002'' in 2002. They have not promoted as a group since SM Town 2006. Several members are active as choreographers and vocal trainers for other SM Entertainment artists. In 2007, lead vocalist Jang Jin-young teamed up with Kim Sung-pil to form the R&B duo, ByJinSung. Black Beat was originally planned to be formed as a seven-member group before they debuted in 2000. Shinvi () was a South Korean girl group formed by Cid.K Entertainment, a subsidiary of SM Entertainment. The group is composed of Yoo Soo-jin, Oh Sang-eun and Yoo-na. The group only released debut album ''15 to 30'' in April 2002 and the members separated one year later to led the group disbanded.
