Shinee
Shinee ( ; ko, 샤이니, Syaini; ja, シャイニー, Shainī; stylized as SHINee) is a South Korean boy band formed by SM Entertainment in 2008. The group's musical impact in their native country has earned them numerous accolades and the title "Princes of K-pop". The group currently is composed of four members: Onew, Key, Minho, and Taemin. Originally a five-piece group, vocalist Jonghyun died in December 2017. Shinee debuted in May 2008 with their first EP, '' Replay'', on SBS' '' Inkigayo'' with their single " Replay". The group gained attention for starting a fashion trend amongst students, which the media dubbed the "Shinee Trend". In August 2008, the group released their first Korean studio album, ''The Shinee World'', which won Newcomer Album of the Year at the 23rd Golden Disc Awards. Kim Jong-hyun
Kim Jong-hyun (April 8, 1990 – December 18, 2017), known mononymously as Jonghyun, was a South Korean singer-songwriter, record producer, radio host, and author under the SM Entertainment label. He was the main vocalist of the South Korean boy band Shinee for nine years, releasing twelve albums with the group in both Korean and Japanese. He also participated in SM Entertainment's project group, SM the Ballad, for the release of two EP albums. Choi Min-ho (; born December 9, 1991), better known by the mononym Minho, is a South Korean rapper, singer, actor, songwriter, and model. In May 2008, he debuted as a member of South Korean boy group Shinee which later became one of the best-selling Korean artists. Lee Tae-min (born July 18, 1993), better known mononymously as Taemin, is a South Korean singer, actor and dancer. He debuted as a member of the boy band Shinee in May 2008 and the supergroup SuperM in 2019, both under SM Entertainment, and has subsequently been labeled by media outlets as the "Idol's Idol" due to the large number of idols citing him as an inspiration. Lee Jin-ki (; born December 14, 1989), better known by his stage name Onew, is a South Korean singer, songwriter, actor and host. Born in Gwangmyeong, Gyeonggi-do, Onew was discovered at the 2006 SM Academy Casting and signed a contract with SM Entertainment the day after his audition. ''The Shinee World'' (stylized as The SHINee WORLD) is the first studio album recorded by South Korean boy band Shinee. It was released on August 28, 2008, under SM Entertainment. The album includes the lead single "Love Like Oxygen", the promotional single "The Shinee World (Doo-Bop)", and debut song " Replay", previously released as the lead single from the EP of the same name. Kim Ki-bum (born September 23, 1991), better known by his stage name Key, is a South Korean rapper, singer, dancer, songwriter, actor, fashion designer and television presenter. Born and raised in Daegu, South Korea, he later travelled to Seoul after a successful audition at the SM National Tour Audition Casting. ''Lucifer'' is the second studio album by South Korean boy band Shinee, released on July 19, 2010, in South Korea. It was re-released as ''Hello'' on October 4, 2010. The album is listed by Gaon Album Chart as the sixth best-selling album of 2010 in South Korea, with over 120,000 copies sold. ''Replay'' ( ko, 누난 너무 예뻐; lit: Noona (Older Girl) Is So Pretty) is the debut EP of South Korean boy group Shinee, released on May 22, 2008 through their label SM Entertainment. The lead single, " Replay", was created by producer Yoo Young-jin with a contemporary, sophisticated R&B feel and rhythm. The EP consists of five tracks and debuted at number 10 on the MIAK charts (Music Industry Association of Korea), peaking at number eight.
