SK Freidig
Sportsklubben Freidig is a Norwegian sports club from Trondheim. Background Founded in 1903, the club has sections for association football, team handball, orienteering and Nordic skiing. In football, it won the League of Norway 1947–48, and, in women's handball, the league in 1971 and 1985. The club has also won several medals in athletics, orienteering and skiing. The club won the women's relay at the in 1964 and 1965. The senior football section currently plays in the 2nd Group of Trøndelag Region in 5th division, the 6th level of Norwegian League. Odd Bergh (28 June 1937 – 13 January 2023) was a Norwegian athlete who specialized in the triple jump and long jump. Bergh finished seventh in the triple jump final at the 1962 European Championships with 15.52 metres. He never competed in any other international event such as the Summer Olympics. He became Norwegian champion in triple jump in 1962 (15.63 m.) and 1963 (15.44 m.) and in long jump in 1960 (7.01 m), 1962 (7.13 m.), 1963 (7.28 m.) and 1964 (7.40 m.). He represented SK Freidig in Trondheim. His personal best triple jump was 15.64 metres, achieved in August 1966 at Trondheim stadion. Nils Uhlin Hansen
Nils Uhlin Hansen (6 May 1919 – 11 January 1945) was a Norwegian long jumper and resistance member during World War II. He had a successful athletics career before the war; setting a Nordic long jump record which was not surpassed for 20 years (14 years after his death). He was killed less than four months before the end of the war, as he was surprised by Wehrmacht forces following a sabotage mission. Pre-war life He was born in Trondheim, the son of Haakon Hansen and Swedish citizen Agnes Collin. Representing sports club SK Freidig, he had a successful career in the long jump; only nineteen years old he won the Norwegian championships. Jumping 7.39 metres, he was 25 centimetres ahead of runner-up Kaare Strøm. In 1939, Hansen won a silver medal behind Kaare Strøm. On 11 September 1939, Hansen established a new Norwegian record. Sissel Buchholdt, née Brenne (born 17 June 1951) is a Norwegian handball player. She played for the clubs SK Freidig and Skogn IL. She played more than 180 matches on the Norway women's national handball team from 1969 to 1984. She participated at the 1971, 1973, 1975 and 1982 World Women's Handball Championships. She also competed in javelin throw at a national level. Representing the club IL Nybrott, she won a silver medal at the Norwegian championships in 1972 and a bronze medal in 1973. Ola Skarholt (30 November 1939 – 18 June 2017), was a Norwegian orienteering competitor. He became Relay World Champion in 1970 as a member of the Norwegian winning team, which also consisted of Stig Berge, Per Fosser and Åge Hadler. Skarholt placed fourth in the individual contest. He also won bronze medals in the relay in the 1966 and 1968 World Orienteering Championships. Skarholt represented the clubs SK Freidig and IL i BUL. His results at the include an individual gold medal in 1965. Skarholt was educated at the Norwegian Institute of Technology, and worked as engineer in the electric power industry.
