SEA Foundation Tilburg
SEA Foundation is a Dutch non-profit, artist-led organisation in Tilburg, The Netherlands established in 2013. SEA Foundation provides residencies for artistic research, experimentation, and production out of which an ongoing public programme emerges. This programme consists of exhibitions, screenings, talks, workshops and publications. It focuses on challenging perceptions of what constitutes as contemporary art, and to bring the audience closer to the practices that motivate producing contemporary art. SEA Foundation was founded by Jan-Willem van Rijnberk and Yvonne Elias. History SEA Foundation is located on the Tivolistraat, in the city center of Tilburg. The building where the SEA Foundation is housed originally belonged to the Tilburg-based tobacco merchant Gust van Dijk (1884–1977). Tilburg () is a city and municipality in the Netherlands, in the southern province of North Brabant. Katerina Athanasopoulou
Katerina Athanasopoulou ( el, Κατερίνα Αθανασοπούλου) is a Greek film maker and animation artist. Early life Katerina Athanasopoulou was born in Athens and studied painting at the School of Fine Arts of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and then completed an MA on animation at the Royal College of Art in London. Career Since finishing her MA in 2002 she has directed several short films and provided animation for many more. Her films, which often mix animation and live action, have been seen at festivals around the world. Roadburn Festival
Roadburn Festival is an international music festival held in Tilburg, Netherlands every April since 1999. It was set up as a spin-off from the Roadburn music blog founded by Jurgen van den Brand and Walter Hoeijmakers. Originally focused on stoner rock, Roadburn grew into a major event spanning the entire spectrum of heavy rock and experimental music. The key staff involved with running the festival are Frens Frijns (managing director, CEO of Tilburg's 013 venue), Walter Hoeijmakers (promoter, artistic director) and Becky Laverty (press, communication, side programme). Since 2014, Roadburn Festival publishes a daily fanzine that is distributed freely to its attendees. Max Hattler is a German video artist and experimental filmmaker. He created the kaleidoscopic political short films "Collision" (2005) and "Spin" (2010), abstract stop motion works "Shift" (2012) and "AANAATT" (2008), and psychedelic animation loops "Sync", "1923 aka Heaven" and "1925 aka Hell" (2010). Ilja Leonard Pfeijffer (born 17 January 1968) is a Dutch poet, novelist, polemicist and classical scholar. He was born in Rijswijk, Netherlands, and studied, lived and worked in Leiden, and he moved permanently to Genoa, Italy, in 2008. Eloísa Ibarra (born 1968) is a Uruguayan visual artist who has been recognized for her graphic works. Biography Ibarra studied graphic design at the Figari School, and was trained at the National Institute of Fine Arts.
