Stupid D Compiler
D, also known as dlang, is a multi-paradigm system programming language created by Walter Bright at Digital Mars and released in 2001. Andrei Alexandrescu joined the design and development effort in 2007. Though it originated as a re-engineering of C++, D is a profoundly different language —features of D can be considered streamlined and expanded-upon ideas from C++, however D also draws inspiration from other high-level programming languages, notably Java, Python, Ruby, C#, and Eiffel. D combines the performance and safety of compiled languages with the expressive power of modern dynamic and functional programming languages. Idiomatic D code is commonly as fast as equivalent C++ code, while also being shorter. The language as a whole is not memory-safe but includes optional attributes designed to guarantee memory safety of either subsets of or the whole program. Type inference, automatic memory management and syntactic sugar for common types allow faster development, w ...

Structured Data On Commons
Wikimedia Commons (or simply Commons) is a media repository of free-to-use images, sounds, videos and other media. It is a project of the Wikimedia Foundation. Files from Wikimedia Commons can be used across all of the Wikimedia projects in all languages, including Wikipedia, Wikivoyage, Wikisource, Wikiquote, Wiktionary, Wikinews, Wikibooks, and Wikispecies, or downloaded for offsite use. As of July 2022, the repository contains over 87 million free-to-use media files, managed and editable by registered volunteers.commons:Special:Statistics, Statistics page on Wikimedia Commons History The idea for the project came from Erik Möller in March 2004 and Wikimedia Commons were launched in September 7, 2004. In July 2013, the number of edits on Commons reached 100,000,000. Since 2018 it became possible to upload 3D models to the site. One of the first models uploaded to Commons was a reconstruction of the Asad Al-Lat statue which was destroyed in Palmyra by the Islamic State, ...

Statistical Disclosure Control
Statistical disclosure control (SDC), also known as statistical disclosure limitation (SDL) or disclosure avoidance, is a technique used in data-driven research to ensure no person or organization is identifiable from the results of an analysis of survey or administrative data, or in the release of microdata. The purpose of SDC is to protect the confidentiality of the respondents and subjects of the research. SDC usually refers to 'output SDC'; ensuring that, for example, a published table or graph does not disclosure confidential information about respondents. SDC can also describes protection methods applied to the data: for example, removing names and addresses, limiting extreme values, or swapping problematic observations. This is sometimes referred to as 'input SDC', but is more commonly called anonymization, de-identification, or microdata protection. Textbooks (eg ) typically cover input SDC and tabular data protection (but not other parts of output SDC). This is because the ...

Spirit DataCine
Spirit DataCine is a telecine and a motion picture film scanner. This device is able to transfer 16mm and 35mm motion picture film to NTSC or PAL television standards or one of many High-definition television standards. With the data transfer option a Spirit DataCine can output DPX data files. The image pick up device is a solid state charge-coupled device. This eliminated the need for glass vacuum tube CRTs used on older telecines. The units can transfer negative film, primetime, intermediate film and print film, stock. One option is a Super 8 gate for the transfer of Super 8 mm film. With a sound pick up option, optical 16mm and 35mm sound can be reproduced, also 16mm magnetic strip sound. The unit can operate stand alone or be controlled by a scene by scene color corrector. Ken Burns created '' The Civil War'', a short documentary film included in the DVD release, on how he used the Spirit DataCine to transfer and remaster this film. The operator of the unit is called ...

Smart Data Compression
Smart Data Compression is a compressed GIS dataset format developed by ESRI Esri (; Environmental Systems Research Institute) is an American multinational geographic information system (GIS) software company. It is best known for its ArcGIS products. With a 43% market share, Esri is the world's leading supplier of GIS .... It stores all types of feature data and attribute information together as a core data structure. The SDC format is used in ESRI products such as ArcGIS StreetMap, ArcIMS Route Server, RouteMAP IMS, ArcGIS Business Analyst, and the ArcMobile SDK. Compression ratios range from 8x to 20x depending on the data source and structure. SDC data is optimized for rapid map display, accurate routing, and high-performance geocoding. Smart Data Compression is a proprietary format. The FAQ for ESRI's RouteServer IMS notes that additional datasets for that application must be prepared by an ESRI subsidiary at additional cost. The SDC technology was developed by Software ...

IEEE 11073 Service-oriented Device Connectivity
The IEEE 11073 service-oriented device connectivity (SDC) family of standards defines a communication protocol for point-of-care (PoC) medical devices. The main purpose is to enable manufacturer-independent medical device-to-device interoperability. Furthermore, interconnection between medical devices and medical information systems is enabled. However, IEEE 11073 SDC does not compete with established and emerging standards like HL7 v2 or HL7 FHIR. IEEE 11073 SDC is part of the established ISO/IEEE 11073 family of standards. IEEE 11073 SDC is based on the paradigm of a service-oriented architecture (SOA). The IEEE 11073 SDC family of standards currently comprises three parts: Core Standards, Participant Key Purpose (PKIP) standards, and Devices Specialisation (DevSpec) standards. The Core Standards consist of a transport standardISO/IEEE 11073-20702 called Medical Devices Communication Profile for Web Services, a Domain Information and Service Model, and Architecture and Bindin ...

Secure Download Cabinet
Secure Digital Container (SDC) is a compressed, encrypted executable file type that is made and used by the e-academy License Management System (ELMS) for secure downloads of primarily academic software. After being downloaded, it is decrypted and the software is extracted. The SDC file is created by e-academy for distribution of academic software purchased or freely downloaded by its academic user base. It cannot be opened without the Secure Delivery Client. The Secure delivery client requests permission from ELMS to download. If ELMS denied the request, the download does not proceed. There is also a limited number of downloads a customer could use. When download count hits zero, a customer would be unable to download more copies of the software. Older SDC files have weak protection and can be unpacked with the UnpackSDC 1.1 tool. Recently related SDX files have been introduced. They are metadata for Secure Download Manager,What is SDM, http://e5.onthehub.com/WebStore/Account/Sd ...

Sassarese Language
Sassarese (natively ''sassaresu'' or ''turritanu''; sc, tataresu ) is an Italo-Dalmatian language and transitional variety between Sardinian and Corsican. It is regarded as a Corso–Sardinian language because of Sassari's historic ties with Tuscany and geographical proximity to Corsica. Despite the robust Sardinian influences (in terms of vocabulary and phonology, as well as syntax), it still keeps its Corsican (and therefore Tuscan) roots, which closely relate it to Gallurese; the latter is linguistically considered a Corsican dialect despite its geographical location, although this claim is a matter of controversy. It has several similarities to the Italian language, and in particular to the old Italian dialects from Tuscany. Sassarese is spoken by approximately 100,000 people, out of a total population of 175,000, in the northwest coastal areas of Sardinia, Italy. Large Sassarese-speaking communities are present in Sassari, Stintino, Sorso, and Porto Torres. The Sassar ...
