Cryo Interactive Entertainment was a French video game developer, video game development and video game publisher, publishing company founded in 1990, but existing unofficially since 1989 as a developer group under the name Cryo. The company gained recognition for its adventure games, such as the commercially successful titles ''Dune (video game), Dune'', ''Dragon Lore and Atlantis: The Lost Tales,'' along with the Racing game, racing series ''MegaRace''. Racing Game
Racing games are a video game genre in which the player participates in a motor racing, racing competition. They may be based on anything from real-world racing leagues to fantastical settings. ''KGB'' is a video game released for the Amiga and IBM PC compatibles in 1992. Set in the decadent final days of the Soviet Union, ''KGB'' is considered to be quite difficult, even for experienced gamers, since it relies on a real time clock and correct/wrong answers which can end the game immediately or after an event needed to be triggered; also, players may make errors which they will notice only hours later in-game. The game engine, graphics and interface have plenty of similarities with Cryo's ''Dune''. ''KGB'' was also released on CD under the title ''Conspiracy'', which included clips of Rukov's father played by Donald Sutherland giving advice. The Riverworld series consists of five science fiction novels (1971–1983) by American author Philip José Farmer (1918–2009). The Riverworld is an artificial, or heavily terraformed, planet where all humans (and pre-humans) who ever lived throughout history have been restored to life. Riverworld is a PC game released in 1998 by Cryo Interactive, based on the series of novels by Philip José Farmer. In the game, the player takes the role of Richard Burton, the nineteenth century explorer. The game begins with a cinematic sequence showing what happens to Burton after he has died – how he comes to enter Riverworld. ''Riverworld'' is a real time strategy game, similar to Microsoft's ''Age of Empires''. Although Burton is the central character, it is seen from a third-person perspective, and other people within the game can be moved and controlled.
