SCCM was established in 1970 and is an independently incorporated, international, educational and scientific society based in the United States. Its members are multi-professional health professionals providing care to critically ill and injured patients, and SCCM is the only organization that represents all professional components of the critical care team. The Society supports research and education, and advocates on issues related to critical care. History The SCCM was established in 1970 at meeting of 29 physicians in Los Angeles, California. Dr. Max Harry Weil, often credited with founding the specialty of critical care medicine, was the first president of the Society. In 1972, Peter Safar became the second president of Society of Critical Care Medicine. Safar is credited with pioneering CPR. 4 The American College of Critical Care Medicine (ACCM) ...

Southwestern College Of Christian Ministries
Southwestern Christian University is a private Pentecostal university in Bethany, Oklahoma. It was founded in 1946 as Southwestern Bible College in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and was the first Pentecostal educational institution in the state. While it was established as a Bible college for the training of Christian church leaders within the International Pentecostal Holiness Church, the denomination planned to quickly expand the school into a junior college. History By the 1960s the college had developed a junior college program (becoming accredited in 1964) and was able to open its doors to an expanding student body. During this time it began a steady growth as one of the largest junior colleges in the country and the largest within the Pentecostal Holiness Church. These broad changes resulted in various buildings being built (Light Library, Irwin Learning Center, Mabee Science Center, and the Mash Loflin Field House) and degree offerings saw the name shifting to Oklahoma Cit ...

SCCM (flow Unit)
Standard cubic centimeters per minute (SCCM) is a unit used to quantify the flow rate of a fluid. 1 SCCM is identical to 1  cm³STP/min. Another expression of it would be Nml/min. These standard conditions vary according to different regulatory bodies. One example of standard conditions for the calculation of SCCM is T_n = 0  °C (273.15 K) and p_n = 1.01 bar (14.72 psia). Conversion to mass flowrate and molar flowrate For conversion purposes, it is useful to think of one SCCM as the mass flow rate of one cubic centimeter per minute of a fluid, typically a gas, at a density defined at some standard temperature, T_n , and pressure, p_n . To convert one SCCM to the measure of mass flow rate in the SI system, kg/s, one relies in the fundamental relationship between mass flow rate and volumetric flow rate (see volumetric flow rate), : \dot m = \rho_n \dot q , where \rho_n is density at some standard conditions, and an equation of state such as : \rho_n = ...

Shock Compression Of Condensed Matter
The Topical Group on Shock Compression of Condensed Matter (SHOCK or SCCM) is a Unit of the American Physical Society (APS). The objective of the SCCM is the advancement and dissemination of knowledge on the physics of materials under dynamic high-pressure loading including shock physics, the effect of shock waves on materials, dynamic behavior of materials, and materials in extremes. Since its formation in 1984, the topical group has sponsored the Biennial International Conference of the APS Topical Group on Shock Compression of Condensed Matter (SCCM) and awards the George E. Duvall Shock Compression Science Award. While specific topics and session names are set for each Biennial SCCM Conference, frequent topics include: * Detonation and shock induced chemistry * Energetic and reactive materials * Equations of State * Experimental developments * First-principles and molecular dynamics * Geophysics and planetary science * Grain scale to continuum modeling * High-energy densi ...

CHRNA1
Neuronal acetylcholine receptor subunit alpha-1, also known as nAChRα1, is a protein that in humans is encoded by the ''CHRNA1'' gene. The protein encoded by this gene is a subunit of certain nicotinic acetylcholine receptors (nAchR). The muscle acetylcholine receptor consists of 5 subunits of 4 different types: 2 alpha isoforms and 1 each of beta, gamma, and delta subunits.2 This gene encodes an alpha subunit that plays a role in acetylcholine binding/channel gating. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified. Interactions Cholinergic receptor, nicotinic, alpha 1 has been shown to interact Advocates for Informed Choice, dba interACT or interACT Advocates for Intersex Youth, is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization using innovative strategies to advocate for the legal and human rights of children with intersex traits. Software Configuration Management
In software engineering, software configuration management (SCM or S/W CM) is the task of tracking and controlling changes in the software, part of the larger cross-disciplinary field of configuration management. SCM practices include revision control and the establishment of baselines. If something goes wrong, SCM can determine the "what, when, why and who" of the change. If a configuration is working well, SCM can determine how to replicate it across many hosts. The acronym "SCM" is also expanded as source configuration management process and software change and configuration management. However, "configuration" is generally understood to cover changes typically made by a system administrator. Purposes The goals of SCM are generally: *Configuration identification - Identifying configurations, configuration items and baselines. *Configuration control - Implementing a controlled change process. This is usually achieved by setting up a change control board whose primary ...
