History They were founded in 1992 to replace CH Boadilla CH Boadilla is an ice hockey team in Boadilla del Monte, Spain. Its gove ..., which had folded two years earlier. The club did not participate in the Superliga from 2002-2004, but returned to the league in 2004 and has played there ever since. They won the Superliga in 1998, and made it to the semifinals of the Copa del Rey in 1998 and 2002. Notable players Swede Kent Nilsson played for the team in 1997-98. Majadahonda
Majadahonda () is a municipality in Spain, situated northwest of Madrid, in the Community of Madrid. It lies alongside the motorway A6 Madrid-A Coruña. The Puerta de Hierro university (public) hospital was relocated to Majadahonda from the western part of the city of Madrid into a newly built medical complex in 2009. History By the 16th century Majadahonda had become a proper village, with a population of about 400 inhabitants. At the end of the 16th century there were almost two hundred houses and some 800 inhabitants. Majadahonda is mentioned in Miguel de Cervantes' ''Don Quixote'' and ''El Buscón'' by Francisco de Quevedo. The centre of the village at the time was the Church of Santa Catherine, a small hospital and a modest inn. The town extended through streets named San Roque, Calle Real, and Calle Christ. The National Ice Hockey League ( es, Liga Nacional de Hockey sobre Hielo) is the top men's ice hockey league in Spain. Its governing body is the Royal Spanish Ice Sports Federation. History Liga Nacional de Hockey Hielo was established in 1972 as the ''Superliga Española de Hockey Hielo''. There were six founding teams which participated in the first season, 1972–73: Real Sociedad, CH Jaca, CH Valladolid, CG Puigcerdà, CH Madrid and CF Barcelona. In 2011, the league was composed of eight teams, but due to financial problems in almost all clubs, the league has reduced the number of participants year after year until only five of them were left. In the season 2021/2022 in order to grow ice hockey in Spain, two teams composed of non-Spanish people, and one composed of Spanish players, joined the league, bringing the number of teams back to eight, with the door open to new ones in the future. CH Boadilla is an ice hockey team in Boadilla del Monte, Spain. They then promptly won the Segunda Division, and were promoted again to the Superliga. They were then again relegated to the Segunda Division, which they then won in the 1983-84 season, and were thus promoted again. They finished in 5th place in 1985 and in 6th place in 1989 and 1990. Kent Nilsson
Kent Åke "Kenta" Nilsson (born 31 August 1956) is a Swedish former professional ice hockey centre. He played in the World Hockey Association (WHA) for the Winnipeg Jets, and in the National Hockey League (NHL) for the Atlanta and Calgary Flames, Minnesota North Stars and Edmonton Oilers, as well as teams across various European leagues. During his NHL career he was called "Mr. Magic" and "The Magic Man", referring to his exceptional puck skills. Wayne Gretzky commented on Nilsson's skills saying "Skills-wise he might have been the most skilled hockey player I ever saw in my entire career". In 2006, he was featured on '' HCZ'', a Swedish reality show as coach for a hockey team of non-athletes. He is currently working as a European scout for the Florida Panthers.
