S. S. Rajendran
Sedapatti Suryanarayana Rajendran, also known by his initials SSR (January 1928 – 24 October 2014), was an Indian actor, director, producer and politician who worked in Tamil theatre and cinema. Film career Rajendran made his acting debut with the 1952 film '' Parasakthi'', directed by the directing duo Krishnan–Panju, with the character Gnanasekharan. He followed with ''Mudhalali'', ''President Panchatcharam'', ''Pillai Kani Amudhu'', ''Thalai Koduthan Thambi'', ''Thedi Vandha Selvam'', C. N. Annadurai's ''Edhayum Thangum Idhayam'', M. Karunanidhi's ''Avan Pithana'', ''Poompuhar'' and Modern Theatres ''Kumudham''. SSR acted with M. G. Ramachandran in ''Raja Desingu'' as Mohamed Khan and in ''Kaanji Thalaivan'' as Paranjothi. Usilampatti
Usilampatti () is a town and a second grade municipality in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. It is also a designated taluk and revenue division. Location Usilampatti town lies 37 km south west of Theni town and 32 km west of Madurai city on the National Highway 49 (India, old numbering), NH 49 road. The town has a population of 30601 as per the 2001 census. Physical feature is the Madurai–Bodinayakkanur meter gauge railway line, which runs parallel to the Madurai–Usilampatti road, bifurcating the developed area of the town.  The lands which lies in between railway line and Peraiyur road and Battalakundu road, are mostly of wet lands which restrict the development of the town in the southern direction.  Hence, the town is likely to expand along both sides of Peraiyur roads and Madurai roads only. ''Kalyanikku Kalyanam'' () is a 1959 Indian Tamil-language film directed by A. S. A. Sami. The film stars S. S. Rajendran, Mynavathi and M. N. Rajam. Plot Kalyani is an uneducated village girl who lives with her mother and two brothers. ''Kula Deivam'' () is a 1956 Indian Tamil-language drama film directed by Krishnan–Panju and written by Murasoli Maran. It is a remake of the 1954 Bengali film ''Banga Kora''. The film stars S. V. Sahasranamam and Pandari Bai, while Rajagopal, S. S. Rajendran, Chandrababu, S. A. Ashokan and Vijayakumari play supporting roles. The film's soundtrack and background score were composed by R. ''Ratha Kanneer'' () is a 1954 Indian Tamil-language drama film directed by Krishnan–Panju, and written by Tiruvarur K. Thangaraj. Based on Thangaraj's play of the same name, the film stars M. R. Radha, Sriranjani and S. S. Rajendran, with Chandrababu, M. N. Rajam and S. R. Janaki in supporting roles.
