S. A. Ravindranath
S. A. Ravindranath (born 26 November 1946) is an Indian politician. Born in Shiramagondanahalli village of Davangere District, he represents the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) from Davangere North Constituency in the Karnataka Legislative Assembly. He is a senior Cabinet minister in the BJP government of Karnataka. Career A longtime member of the Bharatiya Janata Party, he has been elected to the Karnataka Legislative Assembly for four consecutive terms since 1994. He was elected as MLA from Mayakonda constituency for three consecutive terms and is currently representing the Davanagere North constituency. He won the May 2008 Karnataka state elections with the highest margin of over 53,000 votes against his nearest rival. Bookanakere Siddalingappa Yediyurappa (born 27 February 1943), often referred to by his initials BSY, is an Indian politician currently serving as the member of the Bharatiya Janata Party Parliamentary board committee since 17 August 2022, termed as the highest office of authority in the party. He served as the 19th Chief Minister of Karnataka, and currently a Member of the Karnataka Legislative Assembly. He is a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party. Davanagere
Davanagere is a city in the centre of the southern Indian state of Karnataka. It is the seventh largest city in the state, and the administrative headquarters of eponymous Davangere district. Hitherto being a cotton hub and hence popularly known before as ''the Manchester of Karnataka'', the commercial ventures of the city is now dominated by education and agro-processing industries. Davanagere became a separate district in 1997, when it was separated from the erstwhile undivided district of Chitradurga for administration conveniences.
