Ryūyō, Shizuoka
was a town located in Iwata District, Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan. As of March 1, 2005, the town had an estimated population of 19,756 and a density of 836 persons per km². The total area was 23.62 km². Shizuoka Prefecture
is a prefecture of Japan located in the Chūbu region of Honshu. Shizuoka Prefecture has a population of 3,637,998 and has a geographic area of . Shizuoka Prefecture borders Kanagawa Prefecture to the east, Yamanashi Prefecture to the northeast, Nagano Prefecture to the north, and Aichi Prefecture to the west. Shizuoka is the capital and Hamamatsu is the largest city in Shizuoka Prefecture, with other major cities including Fuji, Numazu, and Iwata.
