Rustam Muradov
Rustam Usmanovich Muradov (; born 21 March 1973) is a Russian military officer, serving as a lieutenant general in the Russian Armed Forces. He is the current Commander of the Eastern Military District since October 7, 2022. He was the Deputy Commander of the Southern Military District since December 2018 until October 2022. He was awarded the title Hero of the Russian Federation in 2017. Early life Rustam Usmanovich Muradov was born in Chinar, Derbentsky District of the Dagestan ASSR within the Russian SFSR, then Soviet Union. Ethnically Tabasaran, his father Usman Muradov was born in Khanak in Tabasaransky District of the Dagestan ASSR but later moved with his parents north to Chinar, after the earthquake in southern Dagestan in 1966. The Order of Courage (russian: Орден Мужества, ''Orden Muzhestva'') is a state decoration of the Russian Federation first established on March 2, 1994 by Presidential Decree 442 to recognise selfless acts of courage and valour. 36th Guards Motor Rifle Brigade
The 36th Separate Guards Motor Rifle Brigade is an infantry brigade of the Russian Ground Forces, which traces its heritage to the creation of the 38th Guards Rifle Division from the 4th Airborne Corps during World War II. The division gained its honorific on 23 September 1943 for its part in the seizure of Lozovaya in Ukraine. In June 1957, the 38th Guards Rifle Division was reorganised as the 38th Guards Motor Rifle Division. The division was moved to Sretensk in Chita Oblast in 1967. In 1989 the division was reorganised as the 131st Guards Machine-Gun Artillery Division. The division moved its headquarters to Olavyannaya in Olovyanninsky District in Chita Oblast in 1992. The Military Academy of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation (russian: Военная академия Генерального штаба Вооруженных Сил Российской Федерации) is the senior staff college of the Russian Armed Forces. The academy is located in Moscow, on 14 Kholzunova Lane. It was founded in 1936 as a Soviet institution, based on higher command courses that had been established at the M. V. Frunze Military Academy, itself founded in 1918. An earlier General Staff Academy had existed during the Imperial period, since 1832. The Kazan Suvorov Military School (KzSVU) (Russian: Казанское суворовское военное училище) is a Russian military academy based in Tatarstan. It serves as one of the country's many Suvorov Military Schools funded by the Russian Armed Forces. It is currently decorated with the Order of the Red Banner. Tabasaran People
Tabasarans are a Northeast Caucasian ethnic group native predominantly to southern part of the North Caucasian Republic of Dagestan. Their population in Russia is about 150,000. They speak the Tabasaran language. They are mainly Sunni Muslims.
