Russells Hall Primary School
The Russells Hall Estate is a residential area of Dudley, West Midlands, England. It is situated approximately one mile to the west of Dudley town centre. The area was extensively mined for coal during the Industrial Revolution and would remain open for many years, which meant the district had become highly industrialised in the then heyday of the Black Country's industrial past. This process ceased in about 1950 when the local council earmarked the area for housing development, to rehouse hundreds of families from the dilapidated 19th century terraces which were still standing in the town centre around The Inhedge and Stafford Street. The land at Russells Hall was then made safe and allowed to settle until house building commenced. The first house was completed and let in 1958, and by 1966 the estate was complete, consisting of several hundred council houses and flats as well as some private houses, mostly situated around Scott's Green Close on the south side of the estate. Dudley
Dudley is a large market town and administrative centre in the county of West Midlands, England, southeast of Wolverhampton and northwest of Birmingham. West Midlands (county)

Black Country

Holly Hall Academy
Pegasus Academy (formerly known as Holly Hall School and Holly Hall Maths and Computing College) is a mixed secondary school located in the Holly Hall area of Dudley, West Midlands, England. Situated by the Scotts Green roundabout near the Russells Hall Estate, it was originally opened in 1968 to replace an earlier, smaller building several hundred yards further along the road towards Brierley Hill. It was originally a secondary modern school until adopting comprehensive status in September 1975, three years after the entry age was increased from 11 to 12. Russells Hall Hospital is an NHS general hospital located in Dudley, West Midlands, England, managed by the Dudley Group NHS Foundation Trust. The hospital is south-west of the town centre on the A4101 road, which connects to the Kingswinford area of the borough. History The facility was first planned in the 1960s as a general hospital for Dudley and the surrounding area. Gornal, West Midlands
Gornal is a suburban area and electoral ward of the Dudley Metropolitan Borough, in the West Midlands county in England. It encompasses three historic villages: Upper Gornal, Lower Gornal, and Gornal Wood. Gornal was formerly part of Staffordshire, prior to the creation of the West Midlands in 1974. Wrens Nest Estate
The Wren's Nest Estate is a housing estate located to the north west of the town centre of Dudley, West Midlands, England. History Housing development Local industrialisation was considerable in the early 20th century, as the district had become highly industrialised in the then heyday of the Black Country's industrial past.
