Russell Holmes (volleyball)
Russell Kenneth Holmes (born July 1, 1982) is an American former professional volleyball player. He was part of the U.S. national team, and a participant at the Olympic Games London 2012. The 2014 World League and the 2015 World Cup winner. Personal life Holmes was born in Anaheim, California, United States. His parents are Mark and Tamara Holmes. He has an older sister Leah and a younger brother Dane. After graduating from Fountain Valley High School in 2001, he served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in London, England. He graduated from Brigham Young University in 2008 with a degree in sociology. He is married to Krystal, and has two daughters and son – Sadie Rae (born in June 2007 – from his first marriage), Shea Golden (born on April 27, 2015) and Liam Russell (born on August 10, 2017). 2015 FIVB Volleyball World League
The 2015 FIVB Volleyball World League was the 26th edition of the annual men's international volleyball tournament, played from 16 May to 19 July 2015. The tournament featured a record 32 participating countries from 5 confederations. The teams were divided into 3 groups and 8 pools. PlusLiga
The PlusLiga is the highest level of men's volleyball in Poland, a professional league competition featuring volleyball clubs located in this country. It is overseen by Polska Liga Siatkówki SA (PLS SA). It is currently a 16 teams league from October to April/May. The regular season is followed by playoffs, with the winner earning the Polish Championship ( pl, Mistrzostwo Polski). It is one of the best volleyball leagues in Europe, being highly ranked in the international competitions. Brazilian Men's Volleyball Superliga
The Brazilian Volleyball Super League ( pt, Superliga Brasileira de Voleibol) is the top level Brazilian professional volleyball competition. It is organized by the Brazilian Volleyball Confederation. It shares the same name with the women's tournament, and are disputed simultaneously. The number of participating clubs varies every year. Minas Tênis Clube (short, just ''Minas'') is a social, recreational and sports club from Belo Horizonte, Brazil. By 2013, it has more than 73,000 members. Its patrimony comprises two urban units, the Minas I and Minas II, and two country units, Minas Country and Minas Tênis Náutico Clube. It also has its own indoor arena, named Juscelino Kubitschek Arena, which is a part of the Minas I complex.
