Rumiqullqa
Rumicolca (possibly from Quechua ''rumi'' stone, ''qullqa, qulqa'' deposit, storehouse) is an archaeological site in Peru. It is located in the Cusco Region, Quispicanchi Province, Lucre District. Rumicolca is situated near the archaeological sites Chuqi Pukyu and Pikillaqta, east of Lake Huacarpay. Lucre District, Quispicanchi
The Lucre District is one of the twelve districts in the Quispicanchi Province in Peru. Created by Law No. 9295 on January 17, 1941, its capital is the town of Lucre. Quispicanchi Province
Quispicanchi Province is one of thirteen provinces in the Cusco Region in the southern highlands of Peru. Geography The Quispicanchi Province is bounded to the north by the Paucartambo Province and the Madre de Dios Region, to the east by the Puno Region, to the south by the Canchis Province, and to the west by the Acomayo Province, the Paruro Province and the Cusco Province. The Willkanuta mountain range traverses the province. Some of the highest peaks of the province are Ausangate, Chumpi and Qullpa Ananta. Archaeological Sites In Peru
Archaeological sites in Peru are numerous and diverse, representing different aspects including temples and fortresses of the various cultures of ancient Peru, such as the Moche and Nazca. The sites vary in importance from small local sites to UNESCO World Heritage sites of global importance.
