Ross Spur Services
Ross Spur Services is a southbound-only service area on the A449 at the end of the M50 motorway. Formerly operated by BP, it is now owned by Euro Garages and was planning to be expanding to incorporate drive-through restaurants with a seating area and a shop. A Starbucks was added with a drive through but the Burger King was not added at the time. History Welcome Break sold the services in 2001, and from 2001 to 2012 the services were derelict with nothing more than a BP and a Spar. When Euro Garages finally bought the site in 2011, the services were planned to expanded to form a fairly large service area and to expand Euro Garages' network of sites as they only operated one motorway service area at the time. The services were fully built by 2012. In 2013, a Starbucks was added and, at the time, was one of the only Starbucks 'Drive-Thru's in the country. The A449 is a major road in the United Kingdom. It runs north from junction 24 of the M4 motorway at Newport in South Wales to Stafford in Staffordshire. The southern section of the road, between Ross on Wye and Newport forms part of the trunk route from the English Midlands to South Wales, avoiding the Severn Bridge Route Newport - Ross-on-Wye The A449 starts on the M4 at the Coldra Interchange (J24) in Newport and is dual carriageway all the way to Raglan. Welcome Break is a British motorway service station operator that operates 35 motorway service stations in the UK. It is the second-largest motorway service area operator behind Moto. It also operates hotels and motels. It is a subsidiary of Applegreen. M50 Motorway (Great Britain)
The M50 is a dual two-lane motorway in Worcestershire, Gloucestershire, and Herefordshire, England. Sometimes referred to as the ''Ross Spur'', it is a connection of the M5 motorway to a point near Ross-on-Wye, where it joins the A40 road continuing westward into Wales. The motorway was fully opened in 1962. Route The M50 runs between junction 8 of the M5 motorway, NNE of Tewkesbury on the Gloucestershire-Worcestershire border; and the junction with the A449, the A40 and the A465 ("Heads of the Valleys Road") taking traffic into South Wales. Leaving the M5 at junction 8, it passes north of Tewkesbury then south of Ledbury.
