Rosbach is a river in Hesse, Germany, with a length of . The river is a right tributary of the Nidda which itself is a right tributary of the Main river in Hesse. The river Rosbach gives the town Rosbach vor der Höhe its name. Geography It is rising at the Northern side of the town Rosbach vor der Höhe located at the edge of the Taunus mountain range. The town itself was named after this river. Nowadays, the actual location of the spring cannot be determined due to the growing development of the village Ober-Rosbach, part of Rosbach vor der Höhe. A small pond inside of a leisure facility supplies the river, from there it is led to the Eastern side of Ober-Rosbach by pipes and, when reaching the Bundesstraße 455, it leaves the pipe system. At this point, the rivers' tributary Fahrenbach is connecting. This river springs in the impact crater-like valley near the mountain Steinkopf. Rosbach Vor Der Höhe
Rosbach vor der Höhe is a town in the district of Wetteraukreis, in Hesse, Germany. It is located 25 kilometres north of Frankfurt am Main, on the eastern side of the Taunus mountain range. The town has a population of approximately 12,000. History The first documented mention of Rosbach took place in 884. The district Rodheim was already mentioned in 805. The Steinkopf near Ober-Rosbach in the county of Wetteraukreis and Pfaffenwiesbach in the county of Hochtaunuskreis in the German state of Hesse is a hill, , in the eastern Taunus and the easternmost Taunus eminence over . Bundesstraße 455 (abbreviated B-455) is a German ''Bundesstraße'' (German for "federal highway") in the federal state of Hesse. The route runs southwest from Schotten in Vogelsbergkreis to Mainz-Kastel, a borough of the Hessian capital city of Wiesbaden. Route Bundesstraße 455 begins in Schotten in Vogelsbergkreis.
