Rosa Honung is a record company started in the early 1980s and focused on punk rock. Rosa Honung existed as a cultural association in the 1970s before being registered as a company. They are notable both for their roster and their feud with Asta Kask where the record company trademarked their name. Rosa Honung also tried to become a publisher to rival STIM. Rosa Honung published records with artists such as Asta Kask, Rolands Gosskör, Tredje Könet, Weaselface, Strebers, Livin' Sacrifice, The Bristles and Incest Brothers as well jazz musicians such as Jan Johansson and Lars Gullin. Jan Johansson (16 September 1931 – 9 November 1968) was a Swedish jazz pianist. His album '' Jazz på svenska'' (''Jazz in Swedish'') is the best selling jazz release ever in Sweden; it has sold over a quarter of a million copies and has been streamed more than 50 million times on Spotify. He was the father of former HammerFall drummer Anders Johansson and Stratovarius keyboardist Jens Johansson, who run Heptagon Records which keeps their father's recordings available. Biography Johansson was a native of Söderhamn, in the Hälsingland province of Sweden. Studying classical piano as a child, he would also go on to master the guitar, organ and accordion, before turning on to swing and bebop as a teenager. De Lyckliga Kompisarna (Swedish language, Swedish for ’The Happy Friends’), DLK, is a Sweden, Swedish trallpunk, melodious punk band. The band was formed in 1989, split up in 1997, and re-united in 2008. They are probably best known for their song "Ishockeyfrisyr", which is also known as "Hockeyfrilla" (Swedish for "Mullet (haircut), mullet"). They also made a music video for it. The band is headed by Martin Hällgren, Mart Hällgren who both wrote songs, sang and played several instruments. DLK split up after two farewell gigs at Kafé 44 in Stockholm, Sweden. These gigs were recorded and compiled into a live album. "Främling" (; "Stranger"), written by Lasse Holm and Monica Forsberg and arranged by , was the song performed by the 16-year-old Swedish singer Carola Häggkvist which won the Melodifestivalen 1983. At the Eurovision Song Contest 1983 in Munich, in the former West Germany, the song finished third. The Troggs (originally called the Troglodytes) are an English garage rock band formed in Andover, Hampshire in May 1964. Lars Gunnar Victor Gullin (4 May 1928 – 17 May 1976) was a Swedish jazz saxophonist. Career Lars Gullin was born in Visby, Sweden. He was a child prodigy on the accordion. At age thirteen, he played clarinet in a military band and later learned the alto saxophone, but, after moving to Stockholm in 1947, became a professional musician as a pianist. He planned on a classical career, studying privately with classical pianist Sven Brandel. Incest Brothers was a Swedish punk rock band formed in August 1977 in the Stockholm suburb of Jakobsberg in Järfälla. Their music is political punk, and was influenced by British punk. The band was discussed in the 2013 movie ''We Are the Best!''. Asta Kask
Asta Kask is a Swedish punk band from Töreboda, Sweden. It was founded as "X-tas" in 1978, but changed to ''Asta Kask'' in 1980. In 1984 the band started working with Rosa Honung Records. After the 1986 release of the "Aldrig en LP" the band split up. In 1989 the band was reunited and played a few gigs, but went dormant until 1992 when they played at Rosa Honung's tenth anniversary. Quiet until 2003, they started touring again as "revenge" for all the unfairness they had been put through. The drummer, Bjurre, quit the band in late 2004 and was replaced by Dadde (of Wolfbrigade). During 2005 a growing conflict with Rosa Honung reached a point where the band instead signed a deal with Burning Heart Records. In April 2006, Asta Kask recorded their first album in 20 years. The Bristles
The Bristles is a raw punk band formed in 1982 in Landskrona, Sweden. The name comes from GBHbr>12-inch Leather, Bristles, Studs and Acne The band formed in the beginning of the second wave of punk, influenced by bands like The Exploited and developed from punk with Oi!-influences to a raw punk band (in Swedish, råpunk).
