Rood Adeo
Rood Adeo (born Roderik Adeo Jansz, 10 November 1970, in Nijmegen) is a Dutch singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and recording artist. His musical style is influenced by rock, jazz, blues, classical, and folk. Adeo's flexible voice, ranging from tenor to bass, varies between a bright, high pitched sound and a duskier, harsh timbre. Founder of the band Rood & Nighthawks at the Diner, Adeo also recorded a number of albums under different names, backed by a changing line-up of musicians. Adeo performs with piano, guitar, and with the occasionally use of other keyboards, accordion, and cajón. Nijmegen
Nijmegen (;; Spanish and it, Nimega. Hein Van De Geyn
Hein van de Geyn (born 18 July 1956) is a jazz double bassist, composer and band leader from the Netherlands. Van de Geyn also teaches double bass and music. Early life Hein van de Geyn was born in Schijndel, Netherlands on 18 July 1956. He studied classical violin for 15 years and started on electric bass guitar when a teenager. He studied classical music at a Tilburg conservatory from 1974 to 1979, and then jazz double bass at a Rotterdam conservatory until 1980. Career He lived and worked in Seattle in 1980 and San Francisco the following year. He returned to Europe in 1983. He began playing with Philip Catherine in 1985. Van de Geyn toured with Chet Baker between 1985 and 1988, including Japan in 1987. Another multi-year association was with Dee Dee Bridgewater (1988–96). Franciscus Johannes Maria (Frank) Boeijen (born 27 November 1957 in Nijmegen) is a Dutch singer and guitarist. His best known songs are ''Kronenburg Park (Ga die Wereld Uit)'' about a prostitute, ''Zwart Wit'' about the racial murder of Kerwin Duinmeijer in Amsterdam and ''Twee gezichten'' about a split personality. Having been in the music business for 25 years, he received the Edison award for his career achievements in 2005. Maud Mulder (born 17 November 1981 in Nijmegen, Netherlands) is a Dutch singer who rose to popularity after placing second in '' Idols Netherlands 2'', the Dutch version of ''Pop Idol'', shown by RTL 4. She is also a professional field hockey player with hoofdklasse side NMHC Nijmegen. On 12 March 2006, Mulder participated in the national Dutch Song Contest finals. However, the jury considered the three songs she performed to be without any potential for the Eurovision, since they were like many of The Netherlands' previous (unsuccessful) entries. Idols (Dutch TV Series)
''Idols'' was a television show on the Dutch television network RTL 4, which is part of the Idols series based on the popular British show '' Pop Idol''. The show is a contest to determine the best young singer in the Netherlands. The show is divided in two sections, the first being the audition round, an open audition where everyone who wants to try is allowed to sing. The first couple of shows usually show the worst and the best contenders in these auditions. Once the best are selected, the theater round starts. Here the singers who survived the auditions have to prove they really have what it takes to become an idol. In a couple of shows these performers are narrowed down to just 10 finalists, with each contestant performing live. In the first 2 seasons there were four judges, but starting with season 3 there are just three.
