Rome–Giardinetti Railway
The Roma–Giardinetti railway is a narrow gauge on-street railway which connects Laziali (a regional train station some from Termini's main concourse) with Giardinetti to the east just past the Grande Raccordo Anulare, Rome's orbital motorway. It is run by ATAC, the company responsible for public transportation in the city, which also operates the Rome Metro. Line C is a Rome Metro line which runs from Monte Compatri-Pantano (Rome Metro), Monte Compatri-Pantano in the eastern suburbs of Rome, in Italy, to San Giovanni (Rome Metro), San Giovanni near the city centre, where it meets Line A (Rome Metro), Line A. Rome–Fiuggi–Alatri–Frosinone Railway
The Rome–Fiuggi railway ( it, Ferrovia Roma–Fiuggi–Alatri–Frosinone) is a former railway built on the east part of Rome, Italy. It consisted of a long narrow gauge line from Rome to Fiuggi. History In March 1907, the Superior Council of Public Works gave its permission to build the line, which had been designed by Antonio Clementi. Works were started in 1913 by the "Società per le Ferrovie Vicinali" (SFV), and the first section of the railway was opened for service on 12 June 1916, from Rome to San Cesareo and Genazzano, together with a branch line from San Cesareo to Frascati. Grande Raccordo Anulare
The GRA or Grande Raccordo Anulare (literally, "Great Ring Junction") is a toll-free, ring-shaped long orbital motorway that encircles Rome. GRA is one of the most important roads in Rome, and traffic reaches 160,000 vehicles per day as of 2011. The GRA features 14 tunnels, with lengths varying from the 66 meters of Parco di Veio II tunnel to the 1,150 meters of the Appia Antica tunnel as well as eight rest areas. It has 42 junctions, with the Via Aurelia numbered 1 and the rest following clockwise. The motorway has always been toll-free.
