Rockne Krebs
Rockne Krebs (December 24, 1938 – October 10, 2011) was a contemporary American artist and sculptor. Biography Early life Krebs was born on December 24, 1938, in Kansas City, Missouri. He graduated from the University of Kansas in 1961 and moved to Washington after he joined the Navy. While living there, he found love for art through the Washington Color School art movement, and was influenced by Gene Davis and Kenneth Noland paintings. Career 19681976 In 1968 he designed the first three-dimensional laser sculpture which can be found in Long Beach, California. He did the same type of sculptures nationwide in 25 cities and later on he represented United States at Expo '70 in Osaka, Japan. In 1969, he and his fellow engineers worked at Hewlett-Packard in California where their job was to develop some environmental sculptures. Lincoln Memorial
The Lincoln Memorial is a U.S. national memorial built to honor the 16th president of the United States, Abraham Lincoln. It is on the western end of the National Mall in Washington, D.C., across from the Washington Monument, and is in the form of a neoclassical temple. The memorial's architect was Henry Bacon.
