Mohamed Ahmed Ali ( ar, محمد علي; born 7 September 1993) is a Danish singer of mixed Egyptian and Iraqi origin. Mohamed Ali also known by the mononym Mohamed was born in Nørresundby, Aalborg. In 2009, he took part in Season 2 of ''The X Factor'', coming third after winner Linda Andrews and runners up Alien Beat Club. After the series, he signed a contract with Sony Music. On the occasion, Karina Foss Fenn of Sony Music Entertainment Denmark was quoted as saying: "It is rare that we in the music industry encounter a natural talent like Mohamed Ali. Thomas Blachman (born 1963) is a Danish jazz musician, composer, and judge on the Danish version of ''X Factor''. Biography Blachman is the son of Henning and Annie Blachman. One of his grandfathers is Isak Blachman, a Jewish immigrant from Vitebsk, Belarus, who moved in 1911. He was married until 2012 to Viola Heyn-Johnsen. ''X Factor'' In 2008, Blachman joined Lina Rafn and Remee on the judging panel for the first season of the Danish version of ''X Factor''. He mentored the Over 25s category in his first season and finished in third place with Heidi Svelmøe Herløw. ''X Factor'' is the Danish version of british Tv show ''The X Factor'', created by Simon Cowell. The show premiered on 4 January 2008. For the first eleven seasons, the show was broadcast on DR1 before moving to TV 2 from the twelfth season onwards. There have been fifteen winners to date, most notable are Martin Hoberg Hedegaard (2008), Thomas Ring Petersen (2010), Anthony Jasmin (2014), Place on Earth (2018) & Mads Moldt (2022). The original judging panel consisted of Thomas Blachman, Lina Rafn and Remee. The current panel consists of Blachman and Martin Jensen. Former judges include Soulshock, Pernille Rosendahl, Cutfather, Ida Corr, Anne Linnet, Mette Lindberg, Sanne Salomonsen and Oh Land. The original host was Lise Rønne.
