Rock Hill High School (South Carolina)
Rock Hill High School (RHHS) is the first of the three high schools in Rock Hill, South Carolina. A part of Rock Hill Schools, it offers the International Baccalaureate diploma to its senior class students, as well as dual credit and Advanced Placement. As of February 2016, RHHS has approximately 2,000 students in grades 9–12. Athletics Rock Hill High offers a number of sports, including baseball, women's and men's basketball, cheerleading, cross country, football, golf, women's and men's soccer, softball, swimming, women's and men's tennis, track and field, wrestling, and volleyball. Its sports teams are known as the Bearcats and compete in Region 3-AAAAA of the South Carolina High School League (SCHSL). The athletic teams have achieved considerable success. Rock Hill, South Carolina
Rock Hill is the largest city in York County, South Carolina and the fifth-largest city in the state. It is also the fourth-largest city of the Charlotte metropolitan area, behind Charlotte, Concord, and Gastonia (all located in North Carolina, unlike Rock Hill). As of the 2020 census, the population was 74,372. The city is located approximately south of Charlotte and approximately north of Columbia. Chris Hope (American Football)
Christopher Pierre Hope (born September 29, 1980) is a former American football safety in the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for Florida State University. He was drafted by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the third round of the 2002 NFL Draft, and has also played for the Tennessee Titans and Atlanta Falcons. He helped the Steelers win Super Bowl XL against the Seattle Seahawks. Bob Bolin
Bobby Donald Bolin (born January 29, 1939) is an American former professional baseball pitcher who appeared 495 games in Major League Baseball over 13 seasons (1961–1973) for the San Francisco Giants (–), Milwaukee Brewers () and Boston Red Sox (1970–). A right-hander, Bolin was born in Hickory Grove, South Carolina, and was listed as tall and . He entered pro ball after signing with the New York Giants on November 10, 1956, at the age of 17 out of Rock Hill High School. He spent four seasons moving up through the Giants' farm system until making the San Francisco roster in the spring of 1961. Keith Richardson (born 1953) is a former professional tennis player from the United States. He is a member of both the North Carolina and South Carolina Tennis Hall of Fame. Biography Richardson grew up in Rock Hill, South Carolina and attended Rock Hill High School, where he was the state's 4A High School Tennis Champion in 1971. He got an athletic scholarship to North Carolina's Appalachian State University where he played varsity tennis from 1971 to 1975, while he studied for a BSBA degree.
