Roberto Lecaros
Roberto Lecaros Venegas (11 August 1944 – 29 April 2022) was a Chilean jazz musician and composer of music for film, theater, and popular music. He played wind, string, and keyboard instruments, including the violin, double bass, trumpet, cornet, flute, piano and accordion. He was one of the patriarchs of the Lecaros family of musicians. Biography At the age of three, he began studying violin and at the age of five, he entered the National Conservatory of Music of the University of Chile. In 1958, he discovered jazz when he saw the Goodway Jazz Band play at a university dance. Its director, the clarinetist Juan Sillano, invited Lecaros to play the tuba, initiating him into jazz. Santiago

The Presidential Republic ( es, República Presidencial) is the period in the history of Chile spanning from the approval of the 1925 Constitution on 18 September 1925, under the government of Arturo Alessandri Palma, to the fall of the Popular Unity government headed by the President Salvador Allende on 11 September 1973. The period spans the same time as the "Development inwards" (''Desarrollo hacia adentro'') period in Chilean economic history. Temuco
Temuco () is a city and commune, capital of the Cautín Province and of the Araucanía Region in southern Chile. The city is located south of Santiago. The city grew out from a fort of the same name established in 1881 during Chile's invasion of Araucanía. Temuco lies in the middle of the historic Araucanía, a traditional land of the indigenous Mapuche. Temuco's central place in Araucanía with easy access to the Andean valleys, lakes and coastal areas makes it a hub for tourism, agricultural, livestock and forestry operations as well as a communication and trade centre for the numerous small towns of Araucanía. Antonio Skármeta
Antonio Skármeta (born Esteban Antonio Skármeta Vranicic on November 7, 1940) is a Chilean writer, scriptwriter and director descending from Croatian immigrants from the Adriatic island of Brač, Dalmatia. He was awarded Chile's National Literature Prize in 2014. Biography and career Skármeta studied at Colegio San Luis of Antofagasta and at Instituto Nacional General José Miguel Carrera, a prestigious public high school of Santiago. His 1985 novel and film ''Ardiente paciencia'' ("Burning Patience") inspired the 1994 Academy Award-winning movie, ''Il Postino'' (''The Postman'').
