Robert L. Thoburn
Robert Loren Thoburn (May 19, 1929 – December 23, 2012) was a Presbyterian minister, Virginia legislator, and founder of the Fairfax Christian School. Biography Thoburn was born May 19, 1929, in Harrisville, Ohio, and was one of 11 children. The Fairfax Christian School is a Christian school covering Pre-Kindergarten through 12th grade in Dulles, Virginia. History Founded in 1961 in Fairfax City, on the ground floor of a large Victorian home by Presbyterian clergyman Robert L. Thoburn. The Fairfax Christian School started as a Kindergarten through 8th grade institution before adding the 9th grade in 1964, 10th grade in 1965, 11th grade in 1966, and 12th grade in 1967. The John Birch Society (JBS) is an American right-wing political advocacy group. Founded in 1958, it is anti-communist, supports social conservatism, and is associated with ultraconservative, radical right, far-right, or libertarian ideas.
