Robert Alberts
Robert René Alberts (born 14 November 1954) is a Dutch professional football coach and former player. Playing career Alberts played for Ajax's third team and had stints at French outfit Clermont Foot and in the NASL with Vancouver Whitecaps. He finished his career in the Swedish league. Managerial career Alberts started his coaching career in Sweden, then moved to Malaysia where he won the league and Malaysia Cup titles with Kedah FA in 1993. He also has coached in Singapore with Tanjong Pagar United and Home United, winning the Singapore Premier League title with Home United in 1999. Later he coached the U-19 teams of South Korea. He managed the Indonesian champion Arema Indonesia in 2009–10. In doing so, he became the first foreign manager to win the Indonesian top-tier title in his first season. The 2010 Piala Indonesia was the fifth edition of ''Piala Indonesia'', the nationwide football cup tournament in Indonesia, involving professional clubs from Indonesia Super League, Premier Division and First Division. Piala Indonesia ( 'Indonesia Cup') is the professional annual cup competition for football clubs in Indonesia. Originally, it started from the semi-professional football era in 1985 as Piala Liga, which ran until 1989 under Galatama competition. The Football Association of Indonesia (PSSI) organized the full professional cup competition from 2005 until now. The 2009–10 Indonesia Super League was the second edition of this newly born competition (which replaced the Premier Division as the top rank of football system in the country. Persipura Jayapura were the defending champions, having won their first title in the previous season, or the second title if counting the Premier Division era, equalling the record for the most top league titles, along with Persik Kediri.
