is a Japanese comedy trio consisting of , and who have featured in a number of television shows. They are graduates of the Yoshimoto NSC Tokyo 4th generation class and are employed by Yoshimoto Kogyo. Formed in 1998, they are the winners of King of Conte 2011 and are mostly active in Tokyo. The following glossary of words and terms (generally of Japanese origin) are related to ''owarai'' (Japanese comedy). Many of these terms may be used in areas of Japanese culture beyond comedy, including television and radio, music. Some have been incorporated into normal Japanese speech. __NOTOC__ Glossary ''bangumi'' :番組 (''bangumi''). The Japanese word for television show or television program. ''boke'' :ボケ (''boke'' ). Cromartie High – The Movie
is a 2005 Japanese live-action film directed by Yūdai Yamaguchi (who had previously made ''Battlefield Baseball'') and starring Takamasa Suga. The film is based on the manga ''Cromartie High School'' by Eiji Nonaka which had also been previously adapted as an anime series. Plot synopsis The film opens with a black-and-white documentary-like section which recounts the checkered past of Cromartie High, built in 1920 and destroyed six times since then. Then on to the present day school full of violence and thugs, a school so desperate for students, they even enroll a gorilla and a bad-tempered robot. Takashi Kamiyama (played by Takamasa Suga), a top student, comes to the school to try to join his hapless friend Yamamoto (Tak Sakaguchi in a cameo role) but Yamamoto can't even pass the entrance exams for Cromartie so Kamiyama is left to go it alone.
