Drive Like Jehu
Drive Like Jehu was an American post-hardcore band from San Diego active from 1990 to 1995. It was formed by rhythm guitarist and vocalist Rick Froberg and lead guitarist John Reis, ex-members of Pitchfork, along with bassist Mike Kennedy and drummer Mark Trombino, both from Night Soil Man, after their two bands disbanded in 1990. Drive Like Jehu's music was characterized by passionate singing, unusual song structure, indirect melodic themes, intricate guitar playing, and calculated use of tension, resulting in a distinctive sound amongst other post-hardcore acts and helped to catalyze the evolution of hardcore punk into emo. After releasing their eponymous debut in 1991 through local record labels Cargo Music and Headhunter Records, Drive Like Jehu signed to major label Interscope Records along with Reis' other band Rocket from the Crypt. Their second album, 1994's ''Yank Crime'', gained a cult following, but the group disbanded shortly afterward. Reis continued with Roc ...

Team Sleep (album)
''Team Sleep'' is the debut, and so far only, studio album by American rock band Team Sleep. It was largely produced by Greg Wells. It was released in Europe on May 9, 2005 and a day later in the United States through Maverick Records. Recording history The debut album by Team Sleep was supposed to be released in 2003 but was scrapped due to the premature leakage of demos from the album onto the internet. The band split for a brief period of time before joining together and making material for a new album. Issues with Maverick Records as well as commitments with other projects (most specifically singer Chino Moreno and his band Deftones) delayed the release of the album numerous times. In early 2005, the official May 10 release was announced for the States with the announcement of a new track list and a band site on Maverick's web site. Some of the songs presented on the new album are altered or re-recorded versions of older Team Sleep songs. For example, "Ever" is actually one ...

It was the band's major-label debut and its artwork was created by singer/guitarist Rick Froberg. The band toured in support of the album but then quietly disbanded the following year as the members moved off to pursue other interests. In later years, as guitarist John Reis found international recognition with his band Rocket from the Crypt, a gradually growing audience began to pinpoint Drive Like Jehu's music as a catalyst for the eclectic San Diego music scene and the emerging national emo scene of the 1990s. In 2003 Reis re-released ''Yank Crime'' on his Swami Records label, including on it the songs from the band's "Hand Over Fist" / "Bullet Train to Vegas" single and the original version of "Sinews" that had appeared on the compilation ''Head Start to Purgatory''.
