Rive Droite, Rive Gauche
''Rive droite, rive gauche'' (also known as "Right Bank, Left Bank") is a French film directed by Philippe Labro, starring Gérard Depardieu, Nathalie Baye and Carole Bouquet. Bouquet received Best Supporting Actress nomination. Plot Paul is a successful lawyer from the right bank of the Seine. Among others he represents the investor Pervillard. In spite of being married Paul falls in love with a young lady named Sacha. When he learns she got sacked because she wouldn't let Pervillard molest her, he makes her case public. Sacha proves him her appreciation but now she has to fear the wrath of Paul's jealous wife Babée. Philippe Labro
Philippe Labro (born 27 August 1936) is a French author, journalist and film director. He has worked for RTL, ''Paris Match'', TF1 and Antenne 2. He is a laureate of the Prix Interallié, a French literary distinction founded in 1930, which was awarded for «L'Étudiant étranger» in 1986. At the age of eighteen, he left France to study at Washington and Lee University in Virginia. He then travelled across the United States. On his return to Europe, he became a reporter. From 1960 to 1962, during the Algerian war, Labro was a member of the military. He then returned to his journalistic activities. While covering the assassination of John F. Kennedy for French newspaper '' France-Soir'', he met Jack Ruby in Dallas days before he shot and killed Lee Harvey Oswald; he was thus subsequently officially auditioned by the Warren Commission. Jacques Weber is a French actor, director, and writer. Life and career Weber joined the Conservatoire national supérieur d'art dramatique at the age of 20, and won the Prix d'Excellence when he left. Marcel Bozonnet
Marcel-Louis Bozonnet (born 18 May 1944, in Semur-en-Auxois), is a French actor. Bozonnet entered the Comédie-Française in 1982, and became a " sociétaire" in 1986. He subsequently directed the Conservatoire national supérieur d'art dramatique de Paris from 1993 to 2001. Appointed administrateur général of the Comédie-Française in 2001, il opened the ''salle Richelieu'' to contemporary authors (creating a poay of Valère Novarina in 2006), created a notable show on the ''Fables'' of Jean de La Fontaine produced by Bob Wilson, and recruited the first black member of the Théâtre Français ( Bakary Sangaré).
