Richard Quashigah
Richard Mawuli Koku Quashigah (born 16 October 1968) is a Ghanaian politician and member of the Seventh Parliament of the Fourth Republic of Ghana representing the Keta Constituency in the Volta Region on the ticket of the National Democratic Congress. Personal life Quashigah is a Christian (Action Chapel Int.). He is married (with one child)Richard, was the NDC Member of Parliament, Keta Constituency, from 7 January 2013 to 7 January 2021, he was the member of the Public Accounts Committee as well as the Communications Committee of Parliament. He is also the Deputy Ranking on Parliament's Committee on Employment, Social Welfare and State Enterprises. He is also Vice Chairman of the Ghana/Korea Parliamentary Friendship Association. Kwame Dzudzorli Gakpey is a Ghanaian politician. He is the Member of Parliament for the Keta constituency in the Volta Region of Ghana Early life and education Gakpey completed his Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) in 1990 and the Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE) in 1993. He obtained a diploma in shipping and export management in 1998 and a post graduate diploma in marketing in 2003. He proceeded to complete various health courses after his secondary education leading to certificates in Health Social Sciences for Research, Leadership in strategic Health management, Malaria planning and management and Parasitic disease management between 2004 and 2016. National Democratic Congress (Ghana)
The National Democratic Congress (NDC) is a social democratic political party in Ghana, founded by Jerry Rawlings, who was Head of State of Ghana from 1981 to 1993 and the President of Ghana from 1993 to 2001. Following the formation of the Provisional National Defence Council (PNDC), which ruled Ghana following the military coup d'état on 31 December 1981, there was pressure from the international community to restore democracy. The NDC was formed as the ruling party ahead of elections in 1992, in which Rawlings was elected president, and in 1996 Rawlings was re-elected as the NDC candidate. Rawlings' second term ended in 2001. The NDC lost the presidency in the 2000 election, and it was not until the 2008 election, that they regained it with John Atta Mills as its candidate. The Speaker is not an elected member of parliament though he/she is qualified to stand for election as such.
