Rhyme Skool With Katrina Kaif
''Rhyme Skool'' is a two-part audio CD album of common nursery rhymes narrated by Bollywood actor Katrina Kaif. The album was produced by KM Music Conservatory and the Saregama Production Company. A. R. Rahman supervised the music, which was composed and orchestrated by his students at the KM Music Conservatory. Background "Rhyme Skool" was the first audio CD released by KM Music Conservatory after its launch in 2008. All the scores were recorded, mixed, and mastered at the Audio Media studio in Chennai, where Rahman's main orchestrations were conducted. The album was based on well-known nursery rhymes. The album's official release was held in 2010 at the Intercontinental Hotel in Mumbai. In 2011, the production company launched the second album in the series, ''Rhyme Skool Vol 2''. KM Music Conservatory
KM Music Conservatory (KMMC) is a higher education institution founded in 2008 by the A. R. Rahman foundation. Located in Arumbakkam, Chennai, in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu, the conservatory offers a range of part-time and full-time courses in Hindustani and Western classical music and music technology. Composer A. R. Rahman is the founder and principal, Fathima Rafiq the executive director. Faculty Courses at KMMC are taught by an international group of full-time and part-time faculty from India, Europe and the US, specialising in musical performance, music theory and analysis, music history, musicology and music technology. Ektara ( bn, একতারা, hi, एकतारा, ur, اِک تارا, ne, एकतारे, pa, ਇਕ ਤਾਰਾ, ta, எக்டரா; literally 'one-string', also called actara, iktar, ektar, yaktaro, gopichand, gopichant, golki ne, गोल्, gopijiantra, tun tuna) is a one-stringed musical instrument used in the traditional music of South Asia, and used in modern-day music of Bangladesh, India, and Pakistan. Ravanahatha
A ravanahatha (variant names: ''ravanhatta'', ''rawanhattha'', ''ravanastron'', ''ravana hasta veena'') is an ancient bowed, stringed instrument, used in India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and surrounding areas. It has been suggested as an ancestor of the violin. Construction The ravanahatha's sound box may be a gourd, a halved coconut shell or hollowed-out cylinder of wood, with a membrane of stretched goat or other hide.
