Return From Mecca
''Return from Mecca'' is the title of the reunion 3rd album from Hip Hop group X Clan, released on January 30, 2007. This is the group's first studio album in 15 years since 1992's ''Xodus''. A music video was made of the single "Weapon X." Contributors X Clan originally consisted of four members, Brother J, Professor X, Sugar Shaft and Paradise the Architect. Sugar Shaft died in 1995 because of complications from AIDS, and Professor X died in early 2006 because of complications from spinal meningitis, leaving only two of the original members. ''Return From Mecca'' features guest appearances from Damian Marley, Chali 2na of Jurassic 5, KRS-One, Kottonmouth Kings, RBX, Abstract Rude, and Jacoby Shaddix of Papa Roach. Charles Stewart (born June 26, 1971), better known as Chali 2na, is an American painter and rapper, associated with the groups Jurassic 5 and Ozomatli. He is known for his bass-baritone and quick delivery rapping style. Personal life Early life As a young boy, Stewart moved to South Central Los Angeles, where the group Jurassic 5 was formed in 1993. Aaron Dontez Yates (born November 8, 1971), better known by his stage name Tech N9ne (pronounced "tech nine"), is an American rapper. In 1999, he and business partner Travis O'Guin founded the record label Strange Music. He has sold over two million albums and has had his music featured in film, television, and video games. In 2009, he won the Left Field Woodie award at the mtvU Woodie Awards. Anthony Hill, known by his stage name YZ, and alias Ali Sa'id Nur al-Din, is an American rapper from Trenton, New Jersey. Jacoby Dakota Shaddix (born July 28, 1976) is an American singer, songwriter, rapper, TV presenter and actor. He is best known as the founding member and the continuous lead singer of the California-based rock band Papa Roach since the band's formation in 1993.
