''Retox'' is the seventh album by Norwegian rock band Turbonegro. It is the first release under the band's newly created Scandinavian Leather Recordings. ''Retox'' is the final Turbonegro album to feature vocalist Hank von Helvete, guitarist and keyboardist Pål Pot Pamparius and drummer Chris Summers.The album was released on 11 June 2007 in Norway, 13 June 2007 in Sweden and on 15 June 2007 in the rest of Europe except for the UK. It was released on 23 June 2007 in Australia, 9 July 2007 in the UK and 14 August 2007 in the US. Turbonegro described the album as "a nihilistic homo punk metal bikermovie: Full of speed, power, humiliation and freedom! Sexual Harassment (album)
''Sexual Harassment'' is the eight studio album by Norwegian rock band Turbonegro. It was released on 13 June 2012 through the band's label Scandinavian Leather Recordings, Universal Music and Volcom Entertainment. The album was produced by Matt Sweeney and is their first release to not feature founding member, guitarist and keyboardist Pål Pot Pamparius, the first since their debut album to not include singer Hank von Helvete, and the first since ''Ass Cobra'' to not feature drummer Chris Summers. It is also their first album with singer Tony "The Duke of Nothing" Sylvester and drummer Tommy Manboy, who both joined the band in 2011. The album features instrumental and vocal contributions from Sweeney, Andrew W.K., Nate Newton and Benmont Tench, in addition to a songwriting contribution from Nick Oliveri. Fatboy Slim
Norman Quentin Cook (born Quentin Leo Cook, 31 July 1963), also known by his stage name Fatboy Slim, is an English musician, DJ, and record producer who helped to popularise the big beat genre in the 1990s. In the 1980s, Cook was the bassist for the Kingston upon Hull, Hull-based indie rock band the Housemartins, who achieved a UK number-one single with their a cappella cover of "Caravan of Love". After the Housemartins split up, Cook formed the electronic band Beats International in Brighton, who produced the number-one single "Dub Be Good to Me". He then played in Freak Power, Pizzaman (band), Pizzaman, and the Mighty Dub Katz with moderate success. Metallica
Metallica is an American heavy metal band. Hank Von Hell
Hans-Erik Dyvik Husby (15 June 1972 – 19 November 2021), also known as Hank von Helvete and Hank von Hell, was a Norwegian singer best known as the lead vocalist of the rock band Turbonegro. Career Von Hell's former band Turbonegro is most well known for their tongue-in-cheek humor dealing with homosexual aesthetics and punk rock antics, and the formation of a genre they label "death punk". The band formed in the late 1980s and put out a few records before disbanding in 1998 when von Hell's heroin addiction made him unable to perform. After going through rehab, Turbonegro reunited in 2002, but the band went on an indefinite hiatus in 2010. The main reason for this was his new lifestyle as a sober family man. In 2009, he had a joint No. 1 hit alongside Maria Solheim in the Norwegian Singles Chart with "Rom for alle". The song stayed at No. 1 for three weeks including the Christmas chart for 2009. New Rave
New rave (also typeset as nu-rave, nu rave or neu rave) is a genre of music described by ''The Guardian'' as "an in-yer-face, DIY disco riposte to the sensitive indie rock touted by bands like Bloc Party." It is most commonly applied to a British-based music scene between 2005 and late 2008 of fast-paced electronica-influenced indie music that celebrated the late 1980s Madchester and rave scenes through the use of neon colours and using the term 'raving' to refer to going nightclubbing. Dance-rock is a dance-infused genre of rock music. It is a post-disco genre connected with pop rock and post-punk with fewer rhythm and blues influences. It originated in the early 1980s, following the decline in popularity of both punk and disco.
