Regionalliga 1963-1974
The Regionalliga () is the fourth tier in the German football league system. Until 1974, it was the second tier in Germany. In 1994, it was introduced as the third tier. Upon the creation of the new nationwide 3. Liga in 2008, it became the fourth tier. While all of the clubs in the top three divisions of German football are professional, the Regionalliga has a mixture of professional and semi-professional clubs. Union of European Football Associations (UEFA ; french: Union des associations européennes de football; german: Union der europäischen Fußballverbände) is one of six continental bodies of governance in association football. Regionalliga West (1963–74)
The Regionalliga West is a German semi-professional football division administered by the Western German Football Association based in Duisburg. It is one of the five German regional football associations. Being the single flight of the Western German state association, the Regionalliga is currently a level 4 division of the German football league system. It is one of five leagues at this level, together with the Regionalliga Bayern, Regionalliga Nordost, Regionalliga Nord and the Regionalliga Südwest. League history Formation The league came into existence in August 2008 and was formed from the five ''Regionalliga'' clubs in its region which did not achieve admittance to the new 3rd Liga and thirteen ''Oberliga'' clubs. Peter Frymuth
Peter Frymuth (born 14 December 1956 in Düsseldorf) is a German football official. He is currently vice president of the German Football Association (german: Deutscher Fussball-Bund, DFB) and president of the Lower Rhine Football Association (German: ''Fußballverband Niederrhein'', FVN). Career As early as the 1970s, Frymuth already had various functions in the Lower Rhine Football Association and the Western German Football and Athletics Association (German:''Westdeutscher Fußball- und Leichtathletikverband'', WFLV). In December 2006, he was awarded the Federal Cross of Merit for his volunteer activities in youth and amateur football. In 2013, Frymuth was elected president of FVN and vice president of the WFLV. DFB-Bundestag
The DFB-Bundestag (National Conference) is the highest body of the German Football Association (german: Deutscher Fussball-Bund, DFB). As football parliament it is the legislative assembly of the DFB. Structure The DFB-Bundestag convenes regularly every three years. The term of office for DFB presidential board and executive board is also three years. The national conference is composed of a total of 259 voting delegates, including members of the presidential board and executive board, the delegates of the state and regional associations of the DFB and the Deutsche Fußball Liga members. Additionally the honorary members and the members of the judiciary bodies, the statutory auditors and the committees, also participate as advisory capacity. Landesliga Bayern
The Landesliga Bayern sits at step 6 of the German football league system and is the third highest level in the Bavarian football league system, below the Bayernliga and organised in five regional divisions. The current Landesligas were formed in 1963, when the Bundesliga was established. From 2012, when the Regionalliga Bayern was established, the Landesligas were expanded from three to five divisions. The Bayernliga (English: Bavarian league) is the highest amateur football league and the second highest football league (under the Regionalliga Bayern) in the state of Bavaria (german: Bayern) and the Bavarian football league system. It is one of fourteen Oberligas in German football, the fifth tier of the German football league system. Until the introduction of the 3. Liga in 2008 it was the fourth tier of the league system, until the introduction of the Regionalligas in 1994 the third tier. From the 2012–13 season onwards, the league has been divided once more into a northern and a southern division, having previously placed in single division format since 1963. BV Cloppenburg is a German association football club located in Cloppenburg, Lower Saxony. History The club was founded after World War I in 1919 as the successor to SV Cloppenburg 1911. Through the 1950s they played in the Amateurliga Niedersachsen-West (II), and in the 1960s in the Verbandsliga Niedersachsen West (III), before falling out of sight in the early-1970s to become an obscure local side. The Regionalliga West/Südwest was the third tier of the German football league system in the states of Saarland, Rheinland-Pfalz and Nordrhein-Westfalen from 1994 to 2000. The Regionalliga Süd ( en, Regional League South) was the fourth tier of the German football league system from 2008 to 2012. Until the introduction of the 3. Liga in 2008, it was the third tier. It was the highest regional league for the southern part of Germany. It covered the states of Bavaria, Hesse and Baden-Württemberg and was one of three leagues at this level, together with the Regionalliga Nord and the Regionalliga West.
