Ramon Sauló
Jordi Sauló (born 12 February 1954) is a singer and graphic designer from Catalonia. Sauló was born in Cerdanyola del Vallès. His first public performance was in 1971 in the theater of Sabadell La Faràndula, during a festival of " Cançó" presented by . Sauló shared the list of acts with Guillem d'Efak, Pere Tàpies, Ramon Muntaner, Joan Isaac and Victorí. In 1973, Sauló won second prize in a singing competition in Sabadell, and first prize in the “Promoció de Noves Veus” (Promotion of New Voices) competition in La Cova del Drac. This victory led to the publishing of his first record with CBS in 1976. The record was a single, containing his songs "Bona nit" (Good Night) and "En un racó del meu cos" (Somewhere in my body). Sis Hores De Cançó
The Sis Hores de Cançó in Canet de Mar was a mass festival of Catalan singing in a time when Catalan, as a language and as a culture, was somehow persecuted by the Spanish Francoist dictatorship. The embryo of this festival can be found in an event that ''Agrupament Escolta dels Pioners'' from Canet de Mar organized in the local tennis club court in August 1969. PICAP is a Catalan record label headquartered in Castellar del Vallès, Spain. It was founded in 1984. History PICAP supports Catalan authors and performers. Antoni Xuclà Galindo (born 16 February 1955 in Barcelona) is a Catalan musician. His style has been described as a fusion of contemporary jazz and folk with funk and pop. Biography A self-taught musician, by age fifteen Xuclà had composed music for the theater. Early in his career he collaborated with Carles Benavent, Joan Albert Amargós, Toti Soler, and Ovidi Montllor. The Palau dels Esports de Barcelona (Barcelona Sports Palace) is a multi-purpose indoor arena in Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain. It is on Lleida Street on the slopes of Montjuïc, a hill to the south east of the city centre. The arena is able to host competitions of any indoor sport. In 2000 it was adapted to better accommodate theatre and musical shows and given a new name: Barcelona Teatre Musical. The seating capacity was reduced from 8,000 to 3,500, but comfort and the acoustic quality were enhanced. Perpignan
Perpignan (, , ; ca, Perpinyà ; es, Perpiñán ; it, Perpignano ) is the prefecture of the Pyrénées-Orientales department in southern France, in the heart of the plain of Roussillon, at the foot of the Pyrenees a few kilometres from the Mediterranean Sea and the scrublands of the Corbières massif.
