Rajabali Rakhmonaliev
Colonel General Rajabali Rahmonali (), born as Rajabali Fayzalievich Rakhmonaliev is a military leader in the armed forces of Tajikistan. Since 2013, he has been the chief of the Tajik Border Troops. Career He was born on 7 October 1967 in Danghara, a town in the Khatlon Region of the Tajik SSR and the capital of the Danghara District. In 1989, he graduated from the Tallinn Higher Military-Political Construction School, majoring in military-political specialization. From August 1989 to March 1992, he served as an officer in the ranks of the Soviet Army. During his service, he was based in Chelyabinsk and the Kazakh SSR. In March 1992, he joined the Tajik National Army, serving in the Ministry of Defense in the positions of deputy military commissar. Ghaffor Mirzoyev (), also known as Gaffor-Sedoy () is a Tajik politician who was the former head of the Drug Control Agency in Tajikistan. He was sentenced to life imprisonment in 2004 on charges of abuse of power, privatization of government property, drug trafficking and a host of other charges. Biography He was born in Kulyab and by origin belonged to the ruling "Kulyab" clan in the country. His father, a World War II veteran, was one of the first truck drivers in Tajikistan. 7th Airborne Assault Brigade
The 7th Airborne Assault Brigade ( tg, Бригадаи 7-уми ҳамла ба десанти) is a paratrooper unit of the Tajik Mobile Forces. The Mobile Forces act as the special forces of Tajikistan, subservient to the Defense Ministry. Located in Dushanbe, it forms the backbone of the mobile forces. The brigade is also one of the most combat ready forces in the Tajik Armed Forces. History During the Tajik civil war, special forces units were formed in addition to the regular army. The first of these units that appeared in Tajikistan was the special forces company of the National Security Committee (the former KGB of the Tajik Soviet Socialist Republic), which was formed in 1991.
