Rainz (Hangul: 레인즈) was a South Korean boy band consisting of seven members who previously participated in Mnet's 2017 survival show ''Produce 101 Season 2 ''Produce 101 Season 2'' () was a 2017 boy group survival reality show on Mnet, and is the second season of the original South Korean version of the franchise. The public (called 'national producers') "produces" a boy group by choosing 11 mem ...''. They debuted on October 12, 2017, with ''Sunshine''. They officially disbanded after concluding their last group activities in Japan on October 28, 2018, and returned to their respective agencies. The ''Billboard Japan'' Hot 100 is a record chart in Japan for songs. It has been compiled by ''Billboard Japan'' and '' Hanshin Contents Link'' since February 2008. ''Produce 101'' is a reality television talent competition franchise created by South Korean entertainment conglomerate CJ E&M, based around the formation of a K-pop girl group or boy group. The format is noted for having no panel of judges, employing audience participation to make decisions, as well as for starting with a very large number of competitors, 101, narrowing that number down to the final 11. The franchise began in 2016 and has since expanded to other East Asian countries, China and Japan. The franchise has attracted a wide following in the world.
