Rahim Ademi
Rahim Ademi (born 30 January 1954) is a retired Croatian Army general of Kosovar Albanian origin. Born and raised in the village of Karač, Vučitrn, Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia (modern day Kosovo), Ademi graduated from the Yugoslav military academy in Belgrade in 1976. He was assigned to a station in Rogoznica near Šibenik in Croatia where he married and had two children. In 1986, the Military Court in Sarajevo convicted him of ''counterrevolutionary acts'' and ''Albanian irredentism'', but after serving a year and a half in prison, the Supreme Military Court agreed with his appeal and acquitted him. He would spend the next years serving as an officer in Sinj until 1990 when the war in Croatia was starting and he deserted the Yugoslav People's Army in order to help create Croatian army formations. Karače
Karaçë or Karače (Serbian Cyrillic : ) is a village in Kosovo located in the municipality of Vushtrri and in the district of Mitrovicë. Rogoznica
Rogoznica is a municipality and a popular tourist village on the Dalmatian coast in Croatia that lies in the southernmost part of the Šibenik-Knin County, in a deep bay sheltered from wind, about 30 km from Šibenik. In the 2001 census, the population of the village was 2,391, with 96% declaring themselves Croats. It is occasionally called ''Šibenska Rogoznica'' to distinguish it from ''Lokva Rogoznica'', another tourist resort in Dalmatia. Operation Medak Pocket
Operation Medak Pocket ( sh, script=Latn, Operacija Medački džep, ) was a military operation undertaken by the Croatian Army between 9 – 17 September 1993, in which a salient reaching the south suburbs of Gospić, in the south-central Lika region of Croatia then under the control of the self-proclaimed Republic of Serbian Krajina, was attacked by Croatian forces. The pocket was named after the village of Medak. The Croatian offensive temporarily succeeded in expelling rebel Serb forces from the pocket after several days of fighting. However, the operation ended in controversy due to the skirmish with United Nations peacekeepers and accusations of serious Croatian war crimes against local Serb civilians. Gospić () is a town in the mountainous and sparsely populated region of Lika, Croatia. It is the administrative centre of Lika-Senj County. Brigadier is a military rank, the seniority of which depends on the country. Sinj
Sinj (; it, Signo; german: Zein) is a town in the continental part of Split-Dalmatia County, Croatia. The town itself has a population of 11,478 and the population of the administrative municipality, which includes surrounding villages, is 24,826 (2011). Irredentism
Irredentism is usually understood as a desire that one state annexes a territory of a neighboring state. This desire is motivated by ethnic reasons (because the population of the territory is ethnically similar to the population of the parent state) or by historical reasons (because the territory formed part of the parent state before).
