Ragnhild Sælthun Fjørtoft
Ragnhild Sælthun Fjørtoft (born 9 June 1947) is a Norwegian former television presenter. She was born in Lærdal to farmer Olaf Sælthun and politician Ambjørg Sælthun, and is married to Arne Fjørtoft . She was assigned with NRK for 45 years, from 1969 to 2014. She has also been engaged in humanitarian work, and has been a board member of institutions such as Unicef Norway, the Strømme Foundation, and . She was awarded in 1994, in 2004, the Gullruten honorary award in 2006, and the King's Medal of Merit in 2014. References

Lærdal is a municipality in Vestland county, Norway. It is located on the south side of the Sognefjorden in the traditional district of Sogn. The administrative center of the municipality is the village of Lærdalsøyri. The old Filefjell Kongevegen road passes through Lærdal on its way to Valdres and later to Oslo. King's Medal Of Merit
The King's Medal of Merit (Norwegian: ''Kongens fortjenstmedalje'') is a Norwegian award. It was instituted in 1908 to reward meritorious achievements in the fields of art, science, business, and public service. It is divided in two classes: gold and silver. The medal in gold is rewarded for extraordinary achievements of importance to the nation and society. The medal in silver may be awarded for lesser achievements. Gullruten ("Golden Screen") is an annual award for the Norwegian TV industry, founded in 1998 by ''Norske Film- og TV-produsenters forening''. Dr. Arne Fjørtoft (born 28 March 1937) is a Norwegian politician, journalist, author, organizational leader, communication specialist and social business inventor. Personal life Fjørtoft was born on 28 March 1937 in Sauda. He is the son of Karl Johan Fjørtoft and Thea Lillehammer. He married the well-known channel host Ragnhild Sælthun in 1971, daughter of politician Ambjørg Sælthun. Career He successfully served as reporter and news anchorman in Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation’s radio and television networks from 1964 to 1985. As a reporter on international issues he focused on human rights and sustainable development.
