Arne Fjørtoft
Dr. Arne Fjørtoft (born 28 March 1937) is a Norwegian politician, journalist, author, organizational leader, communication specialist and social business inventor. Personal life Fjørtoft was born on 28 March 1937 in Sauda. He is the son of Karl Johan Fjørtoft and Thea Lillehammer. He married the well-known channel host Ragnhild Sælthun in 1971, daughter of politician Ambjørg Sælthun. Career He successfully served as reporter and news anchorman in Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation’s radio and television networks from 1964 to 1985. As a reporter on international issues he focused on human rights and sustainable development. In between he initiated several development projects, among them the first Norwegian Youth–based international project in 1967, Cey-Nor Development Foundation, working in disadvantaged fishing communities in Sri Lanka. Ambjørg Sælthun
Ambjørg Sælthun, née Ødelien (27 July 1922 – 2 January 2012) was a Norwegian politician for the Centre Party. She was born in Ål. She was elected to the Norwegian Parliament from Sogn og Fjordane in 1973, and was re-elected on two occasions. She had previously served as a deputy representative during the term 1969–1973. From 1972 to 1973 she moved up as a regular representative, filling in for John Austrheim who was appointed to the cabinet Korvald. On the local level he was a member of Lærdal municipal council from 1971 to 1975. She was a member of the central party board from 1976 to 1982, and chaired the Centre Party Women's Association (''Senterkvinnene'') during the same period. Outside politics she was a farmer, having also worked briefly as a nurse. She was active in the Norwegian Agrarian Association, in Christian organizations, and was a member of the board of the publishing house Det Norske Samlaget from 1979 to 1983. Jahn Otto Johansen (3 May 1934 – 1 January 2018) was a Norwegian journalist, newspaper editor, foreign correspondent and non-fiction writer. He worked for the newspaper '' Morgenposten'' from 1956 to 1966, for the Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation (NRK) from 1966 to 1977, and was chief editor of ''Dagbladet'' from 1977 to 1984. Knut Helle
Knut Helle (19 December 1930 – 27 June 2015) was a Norwegian historian. A professor at the University of Bergen from 1973 to 2000, he specialized in the late medieval history of Norway. He has contributed to several large works. Early life, education and marriage He was born in Larvik as the son of school inspector Hermann Olai Helle (1893–1973) and teacher Berta Marie Malm (1906–1991). He was the older brother of politician Ingvar Lars Helle. The family moved to Hetland when Knut Helle was seventeen years old.
