Rafael Boasman
Rafael A. Boasman (Aruba, born 5 June 1953) was Prime Minister of Sint Maarten from 24 November 2017 to 15 January 2018. From 20 December 2016 to 15 January 2018, Boasman was also the Minister of Justice. He was also Minister of Healthcare, Social Development, and Labor from 7 September 2015 to 19 November 2015 and Minister of Tourism, Economic Affairs, Transport and Telecommunications from 20 December 2016 to 4 April 2017. Boasman became Prime Minister after two motions of no confidence and an instruction by the Dutch Kingdom Council of Ministers to Governor Eugene Holiday to dismiss William Marlin with immediate effect on 24 November 2017. Eugene Holiday (i.e. Eugene Bernard Holiday (born 14 December 1962) is a Sint Maarten politician and the first governor of Sint Maarten, which became a country ( nl, land) within the Kingdom of the Netherlands on 10 October 2010. He was installed by the Council of Ministers of the Kingdom of the Netherlands on 7 September 2010. He was president of Princess Juliana International Airport before assuming his office as governor. William Marlin
William Marlin (born 21 October 1950) is a Sint Maarten politician who served as the 3rd Prime Minister of Sint Maarten from 2015 to 2017. Marlin was the leader of the National Alliance, and was the leader of the First and Second Marlin cabinet. Resignation In November 2017, a motion of no confidence against Marlin and some other ministers was accepted in Parliament, due to Marlin's position in the negotiation with the Dutch government about anti fraud measures and aid funds in the aftermath of Hurricane Irma. While Marlin did tender the resignation of the cabinet, he refused to immediately step aside after a second motion of no confidence was accepted, and an instruction by the Dutch Kingdom Council of Ministers was required to force Marlin out while the rest of the cabinet would continue as caretaker cabinet until the elections. Leona M. Marlin-Romeo (born 3 July 1973) is a Sint Maarten politician who served as Prime Minister of Sint Maarten from 2018 to 2019. She previously served as a Member of Parliament from 2014 to 2016. __TOC__ Early life Leona Marlin-Romeo was born on 3 July 1973 on Sint Maarten to Marius Romeo and Marilyn Thomas. As a child Marlin-Romeo attended the Methodist Agogic Center (MAC) in Sint Maarten. She briefly attended St. Maarten Academy before transferring to Oak Hill Academy in Virginia. She graduated from Adelphi University in 1995 with a bachelor's degree in political science and a minor in French. She continued her education at the University of Amsterdam where she graduated with a master's degree in International Relations. In 2005, Marlin-Romeo returned to Sint Maarten, and began working as the Head of the Civil Registry Department.
